Isaac Jones is going to get a chance to show us what he’s got over the next month. Have to assume his minutes go up even with Jae coming in

Ugh they need to figure it out because if this lingers all year, we’re done before we can even get started. There’s still a chance to turn it around so i won’t go all doom and gloom just yet… but this sucks.

While I have high hopes for Jae Crowder, It feels like it’s a desperation move. Just plugging a hole. Not unlike the signing of Doug McDermott. Lyles goes down so they bring in an aging veteran that by all accounts wasn’t getting it done in Milwaukee. Perhaps due to his injury, perhaps just age catching up with the thirty four year old. At 6’6” he’s hardly what we need. It appears that that is all that is left in the market. Why didn’t we sign him a couple of months ago when he came in for workouts? Apparently he wasn’t good enough then, but now he is? I don’t know, but it sure seems like we’re grasping at straws here….might be too little too late.

All right! I wanted Mr. Crowder for that fifteenth roster spot back in preseason. Someone said we needed "a dawg." I am not sure how much game he has left, but he played 50 games for Milwaukee last season and has always been a pro.

Prime Jae Crowder was pretty good and an all-around player that was decent at everything. Judging from the drop in production the last couple seasons and the hesitancy for anyone to pick him up I suspect he doesn't have a whole lot left aside from filling in off the bench. Hopefully he proves me wrong and can produce.

Age aside, I can see it though. Teams run on the Kings when Fox isn't in, so maybe a little toughness is needed to keep the ship afloat for those few minutes a game.

I just don’t like the move honestly. Defensively - The Kings need more length/athleticism - Not toughness/physicality which Crowder provides. He doesn't solve anything; he's like a Mini (and worse version of) Lyles. I guess you could plug him in easier 'cause of that but it's not the kind of switch up they need from the backup forward spot in my opinion.

They weren't desperate before the season with injuries. Now they are. Things can change quickly
Crowder is the exact sort of wing defender archetype everyone's been clamoring for. He's like 6 years too old, but he's at least that archetype. He's the precursor to like a Mikal Bridgs/OG Anunoby type.

They have AD , Rui and Vando even LeBron still at this stage fits into that

Vando is hurt, and AD is the only one that plays defense for them but you’re not wrong. Just saying damn near everyone is looking for the kind of big we so desperately need
