Welcome Jae Crowder

Deebo out again is just scary. We aren’t a bad team at all - it’s just literally impossible to gain chemistry and momentum with guys in and out every other game smh
This was always the big risk with the all-in move on a guy his age. If health becomes an issue that can put us in a tough spot and makes that pic swap look pretty bad, but it’s still way too early to panic over that

He has had a stellar track record for health so it was a decent bet he would stay healthy plus we don’t know how serious this is, could just be a couple weeks. I slammed on my back after slipping in the kitchen and I was in rough shape for about two weeks. Always hard to say with backs though. I’m also not sure I’d call a pick swap an all in move and really the only way that ends up being disastrous is if we are bad 6 years from now. They just have to plan any future rebuild accordingly

oh I agree it’s too early and with his history I do expect this to be temporary.

I guess the pick itself isn’t the “all in” move as it is that I feel the Deebo addition really locks in our current core at least for the next 3 years. If he stays healthy the only real way I see to improve the roster is moving Keegan + Huerter / Ellis / picks, as I assume we keep Monk Fox and Domas. Maybe we find a big free agent but we’re really depending on internal improvement right now, which could end up putting pressure on both the FO and coaching staff if the season doesn’t end well and Vivek looks to shake things up, with the roster being mostly locked
