I can't believe we're talking about this, AGAIN, and the thread keeps growing. curious timing too with the rest of the team having a collective mental/emotional meltdown after the game on Tuesday.


There was a time in the offseason when Peja for Artest was worth discussing, but it was ALWAYS risky. But now after the events of this season to keep on pressing the idea...? Artest brings many things that Peja does not, but he is also a potential team wrecker. His pea-brain can literally tear it all down for you by sowing dissent, disappearing, getting suspended, or even in some of his less stable moments suggesting he plans to retire. He's a nut. He has no focus.

You want to start an interesting rumor anymore, its not for Artest. Its for Kirilenko or Marion or somebody. But of course anybody who's got that sort of physical defensive SF isn't going to want ot trade him away for a guy who is not.

I disaggree Pedja is probably our best defender on this team sans Bobby.

He might be other than Tag -- he's a solid one on one guy most nights. But he's nowhere near an impact defender who makes everybody else better. That's kind of what we are talking about here. A Kirilenko type defender doesn't only take care of his own man, he makes everybody else on the team better through intimidation, hustle, harassment etc.
