We need a bad guy.

He would be a perfect fit in this team. With the bucks flaming out in the first round, I'm sure there will be changes made there. I didn't really watch the bucks/heat series closely to know if Portis was part of the problem or not, but seems like he's the type of peripheral piece they could try to move out.
Yeah I was joking to the response. I don't know how available he is, but would be perfect fit. Was trying to look for a poor man's Portis, came back with Zach collins, but prolly too slow to defend perimeter. Was playing mostly 5 in SA.

I don’t think so. It’s been so long since the Kings made the playoffs I forgot the post mortem is always “we didn’t have enough dog in us..they had enforcers. We were soft”

The reality is the Kings didn’t lose because they didn’t have a jerk like Draymond Green…what the Kings really needed in the playoffs was to make shots. They mostly didn’t. If they shot anywhere near what they did in the season, they would’ve defeated the Warriors in about 5 or 6 games. Unfortunately, they only had 2-3 games where they shot a respectable percentage and it wasn’t for a lack of good looks or not having a bricklaying “bad guy”

Exactly. I hope people haven't already forgotten, but the narrative in the Warriors series quickly flipped from whether the Kings were too finesse or offensive minded to win in the post season to the idea that they were too physical or "dirty".

This Kings team is easy to root for with solid citizens and good guys like Fox, Domas, HB, Monk, Keegan and so on down the whole roster. And they do need to be better defensively, with the limitation that Sabonis won't ever be a rim protector. But they aren't soft.

The issue here is somehow that lead to them getting no-called while elbowing our guys in the head/face the rest of the series. Domas was abused all because he hooked Greene's leg. Watching dozens of other hooks around the league though, it really does seem Domas's was incidental in an effort to protect his face.

Kings need a solid individual defender and team defender, an intimidator in the paint that can block shot and rebound...a guy that can also knock down 3. Who can be that guy? It's hard to find that perfect guy to replace Barnes. OG Anunoby might be that guy. Or Naz Reid with his length might also be that guy but his shooting isn't that great, his free throw is average. Siakam might be that guy. But who can you pick up if Toronto is not willing to trade. I like Cam Johnson for his instant offensive fire power but his defense not that great. Kuzma isn't any better from downtown either....not sure about his defense also. He's not going to help much as far as making an impact on the interior defense and rebounding. We need guys with length.

OG scares me with his injury concerns.

This would be a horrible move if he comes with injury issues.

Not worth it
