We have to draft ADAM MORRISON !!!

IF we don't take this guy next year ,it will be a sure disappointment in my view. He is next big thing who has the game . He can score inside , outside and also has a mean streak like Larry Legend . He has 21 pts at halftime aganist #4 memphis team who plays awesome defense . Btw The Zags are # 8 and making a push for the final four .

Morrison is amazing. Memphis starts 3 freshmen and 2 sophmores and they are #4 team in the country. Yikes. I wouldnt mind getting our hands on Adam at all.

Does he play D?

Havent seen him play much but from tonight he looked like he does. Dick Vitale (sp?) was saying he is a very aggressive and forceful kind of guy (dont remember exact words) and that it helps him on the defensive side because isnt afraid and is up for the challenge while playing his *** off.

There is no "next Larry Legend". Peja isn't it, Dirk isn't it (although he's the closest thing at this point), and Morrison won't be it. I can't see him carrying an NBA team.

Adam Morrison sounds intriguing, but it would be hard to turn down an athletic big like aldridge if we have the opportunity.

I think it might be a little hard to swallow if Petrie drafted an unathletic, score first player after all the Kings problems with defense and athleticism.

i would rather have shelden williams because he is more of a post player than morrison is. Morrision is more like nowitzki but not saying that that is bad, but we need rebounding

Probably won't have a shot at drafting Morrison, even if they keep playing the way they're playing. Aldridge is probably the #1 pick. Any team would want him, doesn't mean it's going to happen.

I have a feeling next year's team won't look like this one at all. So maybe we will need a scorer like Morrison. Who knows. Too early to tell.

One knock on Morrison is his athleticism. That worries me a little if our team is anything like it is currently next season.

Making a push for the final four? Please.

i think you shouldnt worry about the draft. its way to early. and college is way different then NBA so just because he plays good in college doesnt mean a thing.

I think that would be a solid pickup. I am really starting to like his game. He is getting early comparisons to Bird. I hope we can get this guy come draft time.

As good as Adam Morrison is, the last thing we need is an averagely athletic jumpshooter. Plus the way he's currently playing at Zaga, he won't be available to us when we'll draft. I personnally would like to see Shelden Williams in a Kings uni cause all of you know that we desperately lack what he brings to the table. What do you guys think?

It's December 2005. We are, most likely, looking at a team in transition. How you can possibly be thinking of whom to draft in June 2006 boggles the mind...

;)

Morrison is a very exciting "college" player. But what superstar player out of Gonzaga outside of John Stockton has ever done anything.

Matt Santangelo
Dan Dickau
Casey Calvary
Blake Steppe
Rony Turiaf (yet to be seen)

All these guys were hyped to the max while in Spokane. But have done jack beyond that. Although I will say that Morrison looks to be the best of them all, he is too slow to play NBA defense. Besides by the time the Kings pick, he may be gone.

I concur. The draft is more than SIX months away!!!

I also dont think we will have a high enough draft pick.

I think Rudy Gay (at this point) is undoubtedly the 1st pick. I see Adam going either 2 or 3, and I dont think (or at least I hope not) the king will drop that far down the lottery chain.

You hope the Kings don't "drop that far down the lottery chain"?

Whoa. That's pretty negative, isn't it?

I strongly suspect Petrie will do something to right this ship. We may not end up winning the Pacific Division, but I seriously doubt if we end up in the lottery.

I think a lot of you are simply going to have to reconcile to having a year that just might end up being mediocre...

EDIT* I kept looking at what you could have meant, and the only thing I think you could have meant was the lottery as a draft itself, and that is explainable as to how itd look like i was being negative :)

I was referring to the lottery as the teams actually in the 'drawing' part of the draft itself.

So as far as dropping down, i meant going up ;) if that makes any sense now anyways.

I dont understand what your saying?

I'm hoping kings wont have to even be in the lottery this year. And even if we are, I dont suspect us to be have the chance at the top 5 picks.

I am definately accepting the fact kings are playing far poorly than most on here percieved, but im just stating that no matter, I truly doubt our poor play will drag us to the low of teams like atlanta, toronto, etc.

Ah, then I apologize.

I took your "drop that far down" comment to mean that you were hoping they'd get a higher lottery pick...

Oops.

:o ;)

How about we do one of the biggest turnarounds in sports and end up with the 30th pick in the first round?

;)

the season is not even half way through and already we talking about draft 06...this is how you know if the team is having a disappointing year. Might as well trade Bibby for Smush Parker
