[Game] [VSL Game 4] Kings vs. Cavaliers. 7/16/2025 12:30 Pacific, 3:30 Eastern (ESPN 2)

Carter need to be more disciplined. He seems to let his foot off the gas as the game went on...losing concentration. Turning over the ball at crucial part of the game is unacceptable. You are a PG!!! You're supposed to take care of the ball. I don't like his body dementor either. If he really want to be great, he needs to clean up the mental part of his game. It's not really just about talents.

Saying this is certainly a choice when he absolutely locked up Proctor the last 3 minutes of the game after he was absolutely scorching hot

Got a bit sloppy at the end, although sure did look like they forced him out of bounds on that trap. Still, Carter locked up Proctor at the finish. Did Proctor even score a point once Carter got put on him? Big reason the Kings won. Proctor was taking over.

That AND the Spurs/OKC/Raptors all have to win.

Would take a seriously bad-luck parlay for us to get booted

Well, perhaps, but without bad luck we'd have no luck at all. Here's what the other teams need to do to finish ahead of us:

Raptors - win
**Spurs - win
Thunder - win by 4
Wolves - win by 13
Hawks - win by 19
Clippers - win by 20
**Hornets - win by 21

**Only one of these two can happen

Anyway, there are still a lot of paths that can knock us out...We'll know about the Wolves and the Thunder by the end of the night. Halfway through the third the Wolves have a lot of work to do but it's nowhere out of range...

The Kings pretty much secured the PO spot with the Timberwolves lost, unless the Hawks or Clippers, win by 19 points or more per Capt.Factorial.

I think I've come to accept he's not really a point guard. Much more of a tweener. Doesn't have the super NBA quicks to consistently separate from his man. Too often I've seen a much longer defender stay with him like fly paper and then he's relegated to try to post up as a 6'2" player in the paint. That ain't going to work on a consistent basis in the NBA.

wasn’t able to catch the game today but Dlo is on the Carter hate train today. Guessing it was a rough one

He’s just suffering from confirmation bias.

That or the dolt just looks at boxscores and whenever he sees an off shooting night thinks it’s time to come out of hiding after Carter’s previous two performances.

Ya I’m not of fan of posting him up that’s a wasted possession he won’t ever get a post up on the regular season

lots of fans on bluesky railing on him for important things like his hairline and the arc on his shot today. I certainly don't think he is the missing piece of the puzzle to this team's future success but it sure feels to me that some folks have poisoned the well on the kid to the point they've got Kings fans rooting against him without actually doing a single thing wrong.

I think we've both been around long enough to know that it usually takes more for fans to turn on players so I just don't get it. Clearly they are blaming him for Fox and Brown, I'm afraid those were going to happen no matter what when Monte failed to get us wing help over his final two offseasons.

Holy crap Proctor.
Are revenge games a thing in summer league? Dude probably had a promise from us

He definitely put up some points, but also missed more shots than he made and was not good from 3.

That was a classic volume chucker scoring effort in a loss.

Maybe if Proctor had taken all his shots from inside the arc the Cavs fortunes might turned out different because he killed it from there.
