Thibodeau anyone ? not a chance in hell it happens but we'd be better suited with Thibs as our head coach then small ball, pace, Karl.
yahoo reporting the bulls are looking to disolve the last two years of his contract.
pipedream for us i guess.
In any case i agree with the consensus here. Basketball operations are best in a hierarchy, not the matrix structure Vivek has us running with reporting lines running all over the place. We need clearly defined roles and an overall vision. Not something born out of ex-denver, ex-warrior schools of thought which has been spured on via the political enviornment and divide within our own management. Id rather not build on this shakey, poorly thought out foundation honestly.
We do if we want to avoid it all falling apart when it matters. Karl will play a political game down the road. Of concern also is our infatuation with small ball and tempo, we need to play to our strengths. Thibs would be perfect and he has a great relationship with our 2 stars something which i doubt Karl develops ever during his time here. He has a history of alienating his star players.
What has been built here has been built on sand with an inadequate vision penned without taking into account what personel we have on this team. PDA needs to go as does Karl.
Its a groupthink philosophy. Malone had it right but was ostracized. He put us in the right direction. Vivek, PDA and Karl dont see it and we are about to press on with these 3 steering the ship.
Karl and PDA, and their alliance will turn us into something ridiculous. You think if they have a case for bringing in someone like Lawson, Viveks going to stand in their way and Vlade's going to veto that ? please. Just prepare yourself for our brilliant political landscape and continued mediocrity.

What is it preytell, that's going to fall apart? At the moment, were sitting on a 29 win season. That's about as falling apart as we can go. It should be upward and onward from here, and if, and it's an if, Karl builds a team along with Vlade that makes the playoff, your worried why? Me thinks your putting the horse before the cart. Another thing, where are you getting this small ball thing from. Your thinking of Don Nelson. Karl plays players that are capable of a faster pace, but small has nothing to do with it.
Seattle 1997/98 roster:
Vin Baker: PF/C - 6'10.5"
Gary Payton: PG - 6'4"
Detlef Schrempf: SF - 6'9"
Dale Ellis: SG - 6'7"
Sam Perkins: PF - 6'9"
Greg Anthony: PG - 6'0"
Hersey Hawkins: SG - 6'3"
Jim Mcllvaine: C - 7'1"
Nate McMillan: SG - 6'5"
These are the players that played the bulk of the minutes. Where is the small lineup out of that group? The year before he had Shawn Kemp (6'10") and Terry Cummings (6'9") on the team.
Milwaukee Bucks 2001/02 roster
Ray Allen: SG - 6'5"
Glenn Robinson: SF - 6'7"
Sam Cassell: PG - 6'3"
Tim Thomas: PF - 6'10"
Lindsey Hunter: PG - 6'2"
Scott Williams: PF - 6'10"
Ervin Johnson: C - 6'11"
Jason Caffey: SF - 6'8"
Again, these are the players that played the bulk of the minutes and there's plenty of size there. The difference between Karl and others is his style of play and it has nothing to do with size.
Winning cures everything...Yeah..... a lot of panic over Karl. Him saying anyone is tradable was a red flag, but let's give the guy an off-season before we decide we know how he's going to coach The Kings.
Karl already mentioned factoring bits and pieces of "the Malone system" into his schemes, and he's known to adapt to his rosters.... Cousins was straight beasting under Karl as well.
I think the only thing we have to worry about is he and Cuz getting along.... if they can build rapport, or at the very least, mutual respect, we should be fine.
Winning cures everything...
Hopefully we can get a lighter schedule to start off the year this time.
