Voisin: Future of Kings in Divac's hands

Reeks of professionalism? Maybe and maybe not. What are the old fables of Princes and Kings dressing in pauper clothing to find out how the people really felt and acted? In a front office characterized by deceit and in-fighting, how best to get the "real" feel of the landscape but go in a someone without power?
Because he did have power. It was a lie. That's not professional.

You don't bring in a consultant and then two days later, surprise, he's your boss! Haha, fooled you!

But is that completlely true? Or is that another PDA smear attempt on Vivek? Other reports say PDA pushed against hiring vlade for at least a year. Clearly he saw what could happen, that vlade was a threat.

Alas, this is exhausting. I didn't realize how much I'm still hurt by it. I think there's plenty of blame to go around here.

I just can't allow PDA to be the victim. Just can't do it, I don't believe it. He was way too adamant HE would have fired Malone no matter what the record, that it was HIS decision.

Going forward, if I can get just one thing, stop the oversell! That was this past regimes biggest problem. Don't tell me stauskas is our klay Thompson. Or that you would have taken Ben first. Or that Pete is the greatest basketball mind out there and thinks 4 moves ahead. All that crap. We heard it time and time again.

No more.

That's been a big issue of mine with Vivek since day one. He's the king of hyperbole and combining that with his lack of basketball knowledge and our lack of success on court, he just comes off like a clown.

While I am perfectly happy looking forward, I also don't want to see the past whitewashed. I keep seeing tweets (Jillian Adge, for one, is all over his jock) about:

"It was all inexperience."
"Who cares who fired who anymore? Can we just move on please? It's a new season."
"It was doomed to fail from the start when a coach was hired before the GM"

and other BS - just looking to paint PDA in a good light instead of acknowledging the reality of the situation.

It seems obvious that PDA personally charmed the socks of of her (Jillian). Remember how I told you guys that Pete called me during the season ticket renewal push? He was completely charming - it felt like we were pals. It seemed he was so down to earth and disarming.

He can do that act really really really well. A slippery character - super glib. Makes you feel like the center of the universe for a minute. Probably an expert in neurolinguistic programming. It is no wonder he has charmed some journalists and fans to the point where they abandon reason.

Nor should he be, but he's not the only culprit either.

I keep harping on this, but I think we had 4 distinct voices trying to run the team the way they wanted the past 2 years. And you can't run an NBA FO that way. Someone has to be the dictator and say "No, THIS is the direction we're going in and if you don't like it, go find another job." As a GM, PDA failed miserably at that.

I think Karl and Divac have done a great job at establishing themselves as the 2 dominant voices on the team. Now, it's just a matter if they're on the same page.
