Welcome to the Video Game Draft FINALS! Before I start this I just wanna thank everyone who participated in this draft including the drafters, the voters, the followers, and the people who filled in for others when they couldn't make their pick. Special thanks to the commissioners of the other draft threads for giving me guidelines to go by with this whole thing, and also to GoGoGadget, who was willing to jump in in place of kingsfan916 on very short notice and put together a nice list.

Last round we had another minor upset with the #3 seed (myself) upsetting the #2 seed (tradepeja). Honestly I wasn't expecting to make it this far, but thanks to everyone who voted for me and keep it up!

But on to the voting!

Who should win the Video Game Draft?

#1 Löwenherz

Game Over.

I don't think I've voted for Löwenherz in any of the rounds until now. In the end, Warcraft II put it over the top for me.

Lowen's list is good, but SacKings takes it by having the what most say is the best Super Mario game (although I spit in nostalgia's face and think Galaxy is the best Mario), the best Metroid game, arguably the best Final Fantasy game (III for me), the first Zelda, arguably the best Metal Gear game, the only good game about jet ski racing, and a pile of other greats like Perfect Dark (I'll take my opinion that its far better than Goldeneye all the way to my grave), Paper Mario, Splinter Cell, and Banjo-Kazooie.

He might not have the replayability of Warcraft, Mechwarrior, and Civ2, but he wins on having far and away the most dominate line up of masterpiece action/adventure and RPG games.

You forgot Lowenherz's Nevrwinter Nights toolset and SimCity replayability as well.

And he still picked up GTA, Zelda, Mario, Megaman etc.

I picked this on the strength of a single game, I hate to say. And at the time it was the deciding vote, and it still appears to be now. Oh well, Harmonix owns me and it was another banner week for Rock Band DLC.

Though Fallout 3 has cut into its play time.

Rock Band 2 FTW.

That and I have really never played a single PC game ever extensively besides a month of Diablo 2.
So that instantly made me care a lot less of Lowenherz' list.

Wouldn't it be funny if this ended in a tie, and the tie breaker ended in a tie.

...

No one else vote.

Congrats to Lowenherz!!!

I was hoping I wouldn't lose to someone with a Warcraft game on their list (I think they're way over-rated), but in any case, I'm glad to make it as far as I did, and the best list won. Thanks again to everyone who participated

What a five month ride it's been. I honestly didn't think my mix of Nintendo and PC classics with a few modern favorites sprinkled in would make it past the second round.

But now we can all agree: 1995 was the best year of all time for video games. ;)

Thanks everyone who voted for me, and for those whose vote I have yet to earn. I hear your voices and I will be your video game guru too.
