Let's see... I hate anything that has to do with Texas.

By process of elimination, then, when faced with ONLY those two choices, I'm left with..

abstention.

;)

I'm always so torn - I HATE USC but I root for the Pac-10 and I hate Texas even more...This is really tough but I think I'd like to keep it in California.

That's funny, because my head says USC...

My heart says no one. :D

Before the UCLA game, I may have said its a toss up. But even though Texas killed a HORRIBLE Colorado team, USC had a tougher opponent, IMO, even if UCLA DID lose to a bad Arizona team. Also, USC showed that even when one side of their offense isn't going too well, the other can pick it up.

USC in a comeback and nailbiter.

I'm suprised no one anywhere has made some sort of campaign:

Bush/Leinart 4 Prez

or

Bush/Leinart in '05

It's somewhat corny, but most of the times someone in the media pulls every sort of corny crap they can think of.

Anyhow, yeah, Bush + Leinart + Jarret + White = High chance of W.

I mean, who does Texas have? Vince Young and Jamaal Charles, who has less yards running than Young himself?

Are you kidding. there is no debate. Unless reggie bush gets food poisoning :) , or brakes his ankle getting off the bus, usc will win it by at least the 3rd quarter.

IMHO Texas easily. Possibly a blowout and all of these sycophants who have clamored for this matchup all year will finally shutup. USC's defense is not average. And it can't be one of the greatest championships of all time just because they score a lot of points against weak defenses.

To all the People who think USC is going to blow out or beat Texas. Remember this one thing, 1984 Robbie Bosco, Little BYU beat and came from Behind and beat Michigan. And Oh Yea, the mighty Cal team went there last year and thought they got snubbed out of the Rose Bowl, and a way undermatched Texas Tech was supposed to be a pushover. Results: BYU National Champs, and Cal?? They got smacked as well. So, Texas, Hook 'em Horns!! 2004 Rose Bowl Champs will win it two years in a row, and show up with Yellow Roses!!!!!!!!! So Play the Game, Fresno State almost beat them. And Texas isnt no Fresno State!

A blowout?? Texas easily?? USC's "not average" defense?? Didn't they just hold UCLA, a ranked team unlike UT opponant, who averaged 40 points per game to 2 FG until late in the 4th when the starters were out?
Why was Young and the rest of the starters still playing at the end with the score 60-3?? Afraid their defense couldn't hold the lead?? ;)

I think they're pretty balanced...scoring averaged around 50 while keeping opp. around 20.

Yeah, UCLA, that ranked team, who'd they play this year? And holding the mighty Bruins until late in the 4th - umm, didn't Stanford "hold" UCLA for 55 minutes? Hey you might be right, certainly in the majority. I'm just a fan of defense and I don't see any balance to that team. Loaded on offense. I see a lot of speed and talent on UT's defense and don't really know or care why the starters were playing in the end. That's just the way I see it and every once in a blue moon, I'm not completely wrong.

So you're a fan of defense and you dislike the fact that they're unbalanced, being too loaded on the offensive end...why on Earth are you a Kings fan??? ;)

In any case, I say USC. Reggie Bush is just too talented to ignore.

I hate both USC and Texas but I think I hate Texas a little more. USC all the way. Plus Texas has the Mack Brown choke factor and I think he will be outcoached in this game........also couldn't stand his whining last year and campaining for the BCS bowl.

wow, have you even seen SC play this year? i've seen every game... this has got to be the greatest college fotball team ever... no matter the circumstances of the game, they have so much confidence theyre gonna win, that it always happens.... you cant possibly ignore the reggie factor... that guy has some vision man... and as for the defense? they come up big when they have to.... SC's been waiting for this game the whole year and i believe theyve been holding back a little this year... they will absolutely unleash on the longhorns... really.

Ya got me there. I'll be the first to admit I don't watch a lot of Pac 10 football. But if they are that good then it doesn't sound like it will be one of the "greatest championship games of all time."
It could be one of the greatest displays of missed and arm tackles though.;)
