With no new CBA in sight, NBA training camps are in serious jeopardy of starting on time. Recently, Amar’e Stoudemire and Zach Randolph have expressed some desire to host unofficial training camps for the Knicks and Grizzlies, respectively. Will Tyreke Evans follow suit with team practices of his own for the Sacramento Kings? From Cowbell Kingdom: “I was thinking about that, calling some of the players up, trying to get them to Sacramento early. I know it’s going to be pretty hard for the rookies because they haven’t set up yet with (homes). But I mean, the guys that have been playing, the veterans and the guys who have been playing a couple years on our team…I was definitely thinking of calling them up and (trying) to get a local gym in Sacramento and having a training camp.”

Here's an idea Reke.
Have some of the vets offer to put up some of the prospects and rookies during the ad hoc camp.. I think that would be a great bonding experience for all of the guys and it's probably true that guys who are good friends can play better together.
Anyway, just a thought.
I also like the idea that Reke would be showing some real leadership if he pulled this off.
