Tyreke and Team USA

Will Tyreke make it onto Team USA? How would that affect Kings training camp and time to gel with Cousins and the others? I'd rather see him not go to the tourney just to give the whole squad enough time to get real comfortable with what their respective roles will be.

This article has the schedule as being five-day camp in Las Vegas starting next week, 2 week break, train in NY for about another week, then more training in Madrid and Athens, with the World tourney running from 8/28 to 9/12.

It's all over well before training camp, but still I'd rather see him just have the experience of the mini-camp for now, and then go home and train. Save the full deal for a few years down the road after he's honed his shooting stroke.

Keep your grimy little hands hands off our stud while he's working on his stroke.

You can borrow him for a few summers once he's done the work and acheived full fledged greatness.

Looking at the roster of players attending the mini camp, there is a high chance Tyreke will get selected to play 2 guard. The coaching staff has said they are looking for guys who can play multiple positions and Reke is one of those. There are any true 2 guards in the pool, only SF/SGs so Tyreke has a chance because all the other PGs are around 6'3" or below.

Stay home and work on you game Tyreke. NBA is a long season without the added stress from playing on the USA team and posiibly getting seriously injured(yeah I know he can injure himself during practices).
