I'm now seeing most of the Bee articles being truncated when posted on the Kings forums and I suppose that this is to save space, yes?
One of the main reasons why I like to read the Bee's articles here in the forum is because the $%&*## dynamic/moving ads are eliminated when the articles are posted here in the ad-free forum, so, when the articles are posted, but truncated, then I am forced to go the Bee to read those articles.
As of late, the dynamic ads have not been bad--some movement, but then they're still; but, some of the ads in the past with incessant movement...UGH! ######! I can't stand them. One of the things that I love about the internet is that I can almost fully control the aggravating commercials (unlike the damn TV), but some of them cannot be controlled, no matter what I do (I use the Mozilla Firefox browser, which has a "block ad" feature--very useful, but on some ads...Macromedia, Real Player, etc...CANNOT be frozen, no matter what I click and that pisses me off ). I have a big folder next to my monitor to use in case there's tall, vertical dynamic/moving ads on the side of the webpage that just are incessant in movement, so, when needed, I prop up the folder to block the %^## ad.
I'm all for saving space, but not at the expense of exposing us to those aggravating dynamic/moving ads on the web pages of the Bee, or other sports pages.
Speaking of saving space, one thing that would help is the tendency of some posters of quoting entire posts instead of isolating the central point to which the new post would be referring to would be preferable, I think, than posting quotes of entire posts, followed by a brief commentary.
I was going to send a PM on this matter to V21, but I thought that I'd see what others thought about this issue by posting publicly. Don't get me wrong--I'm not signing sour grapes, as this forum is an excellent one in many ways.
