I have done full on tournaments with this game... I am getting a blackboard/dry erase board to track leaders soon so the fishing tourney will have that authentic feel... with the fishing controller for the Dreamcast,

what game is more fun? I pick: Sega Marine Fishing for Dreamcast

Honestly, this game is a party favorite and so, so stinking so much fun! It is hard to understand until you play it. Additionally, why fish for a bass when you can fish for this:

Sorry for the delay. Here is my make-up pick

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 (PS2)
(Picture to be added later - I'm at work)

Fantastic gameplay, with all the goodies of TWG. Who doesn't love playing, or gasp, beating Mr. Woods. If only Elin came with it. ;)

Holy damn, I have been all over the board and didn't see I was up here. NoBonus did send a PM but I must have read it late at night or something and completely forgot about it.

As for "credit checks," I think I've done pretty well in the other 4 drafts and oh, the one I was commissioner of.

Again, apologies.

My sports pick:

nba-street-vol-2-gamecube.244125.jpg

NBA Street Vol. 2 (2003) - Nintendo GameCube

I should probably pick the Xbox or PS2 versions of this game because they are probably "better" but I only played this on GameCube and its on GameCube where this game holds a special place in my heart.

I bought it on the last day of my 8th grade school trip to Washington D.C. We would eat every night at this giant mall and I would go into the GameStop and ask if they had the GameCube version finally (I only owned a GameCube then and actually have not owned a non-nintendo system until the 360). On the last day of my trip they had it in stock and I got it and flew back home hungry to play it.

Turns out its amazing. Customizable characters, a cool story mode, great graphics, insanely fun gameplay, tons of hardwood classic players, a funny commentator, and some actually good hip hop tracks to top it off. It is the best basketball game I have ever played, and I still prefer its gameplay to any NBA Live or 2k game ever released.

Me and my sister's future husband used to play it for hours on end when he would come over a lot. One night when my sister wasn't around we played it for almost 4 hours straight. Our matches were epic, always going past 21 all. I think by the end, on each of our record sheets we had played more than 1000 games a piece. Most of them against each other.

Yes, the PS2 version is actually the one to get (I own it on Xbox). The game was originally developed with the Dual Shock in mind and so the PS2 is the only version that controls correctly. But its a great game on any system.

I'm not so sure I agree. I played the PS2 version many times at my friends house, and not only were the graphics not as good, but the extra button seemed to add no real functionality to the game. I will admit that the Z button is pesky to press sometimes though and most of my views probably stem from my fervent Nintendo fanboyism.

I'm pretty sure that both the Xbox and Nintendo versions dropped some moves because of missing buttons. It was mentioned in reviews at the time. I agree that the PS2 had the worst graphics, I preferred the Xbox in that generation since I think memory cards are a scam, but it definitely didn't control like the first version of the game did which I do own on PS2.

And it's back to me. Man I change my mind a lot in this draft. There's a game I meant to pick like 6 rounds ago, and I'm putting it on the shelf again. There's 2 different games I really want here. I feel as though this next one is on Venom's list though, and the other one probably isn't. So...

Banjo-Kazooie (1998) - Nintendo 64

So, after missing out on all the great 3D platformers for the N64 (SM64, Zelda's, DK64, Conker), I finally get to snag one myself. Considered by many to be one of the greatest N64 games ever. I'm very surprised this (and it's sequels) have fallen this far.

my pick:

The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening [DX] - (1993 GB, 1998 GBC) list the color version please

Link's Awakening's story is an interesting side story, generally light-hearted but increasingly poignant towards the end. At the time of its release it was easily the most touching Zelda yet. Being played on an fuzzy, tiny green (for the first Gameboy. The Gameboy Color version is better) screen, you would think that it would be hard to been too absorbed in the game, or to care for what happens around you, but somehow, this isn't the case. While the dungeons do lack a certain sense of tension provided by the game's big screen counterparts, the villages feel lively and the overworld practically begs you to explore it.

I have a confession to make.

As a ravid Nintendo and Rare fanboy in the last 90s and early 00s I must admit I never played any Banjo games ever.

Ever, ever. I have no explanation. That is all.

I haven't played the sequels myself, but....play the original. You picked the Wind Waker and Conker, so u like those sort of games. You won't be disappointed. Some consider it to be better than Mario 64. (It took me a while to get into playing it to be honest, but that pretty much happens with every game I play)

My bad for the delay, I've been checking the board every day and the one day I didn't have time to check was the day I was up in the draft, anyway for my pick I'll take Spider-Man - 2002 PS2

Military Madness - TurboGraphix 16 - 1989

My favorite turn based military game where surrounding an opponent, and terrain played into the battle. You could have 2 tanks taking on 8 tanks but if you had them surrounded those 2 could take out all 8 of the enemies. It was a great game and I still play the ROM on my computer after my turbographix failed a few years back :)

Dead or Alive 2 (2000) - Dreamcast

Story lines that made little sense, combo moves that were somewhat challenging, and an ability to adjust your age in the options menu to um, enhance, your players (Slim, you'd like this.) This game made me a very popular college student back in the day.

Ah, apologies, apologies -- Spike sent the PM on time, it just got washed away in work stuff and Hot Babes stuff. You know -- the normal workaday Scylla & Charybdis. ;)

Have them up in a minute. Note the novelty -- will not be using the full 24 hours. Probably will result in me rushing into error of course -- I've only had 2 weeks here to think this over. But hasty is as hasty does.

I can make that pick for you if you're interested.

Well..ok, but only if it is this one:

#9: Custer's Revenge (Atari 2600)

Atari 2600 owners had games about blowing up tanks, brushing their teeth, and Kool-Aid. It forces a person to demand, where were the games about General Custer rising from the dead to sexually assault Indian women? The company Mystique heard the public's demands and answered them with Custer's Revenge. In it, you lead Custer through a hail of arrows to hump a girl tied to a cactus on the other side of the screen. That's it. That's the whole game.

Note: this is NOT my next choice.

Its Spike's. :D

How did you know that this was the one I would pick for you? Creepy.
