When I did it I found that ranking 15 lists took too much time, but 14 was ok. I wish somebody had helped start me off, so I figured I should provide that service to others. I can't help being selfless like that.

That's a great cover song, one of my favorites. I've had a chance to listen to one of her albums a few times, and I could definitely get into her music if I tried. 'Til Tuesday had their one great song as well, of course. That and One are both in my iTunes.

Tenacious D was fairly high up on my last.fm scrobbles, which hasn't been updated in years but they are a one album band for me. The songs from the movie were pretty much lamer versions of the songs from the show/album.

Now here in the U.S. this is a holiday weekend, and since many/most of our members are Americans, I think I'll hold off on starting the playoffs until Monday when everybody should be back and recovered from their tryptophan poisoning.

Probably best to stagger the starts for each conference so as not to swamp the forum with 8 threads all at once. So will start the 4 Unskinny Bop first round threads tommorow.


Query: after putting in months of work in the draft, would people like to go ahead and do consolation rounds for the first round losers? Or would polling fatigue set in?

Personally, only speaking for myself of course, I would lose interest in the loser brackets.

I'd vote in any poll you make for this. Although, knowing how poorly I did in one of these a while back, you probably shouldn't be shooting for my vote if you want to win!

we're gettign good first round participation numbers, and excitemtn for the season is startign to bring people back, so think I am going to go ahead and try the consolation thing. I'll stagger it so after Rnd 1 is completed, we'll start Rnd 2 the next day, and the Consolation Rnd the day after. Should give everybody at least 3 matchups instead fo just one in some cases. Everythign will still wrap up on the same day. I'll keep track of it all on a modified draft bracket so everybody will know where they stand and what the matchup is for.

Okay, waited a day because I know lots of peeps don't check in on weekends and I wanted to assure these polls would give everybody a full weekday (Monday) to vote in them. So main bracket today, and then consolation bracket tommorow, and I think on the consolation rounds we'll just go with 24 hour polls.

which will also happen to coincide with the official beginning of training camp and free agency. I love it when a plan comes together.
