This draft is very interesting and enlightening. I have learned of singers I had never heard of and who are really good. I'm in a time warp being at least a generation (and maybe two generations) older than most of you so I lost track of what is popular
at least 15 years ago. The older stuff has been adequate for me and has many emotional links. It's intersting how music becomes linked to events or eras of our life and I note that I'm not the only one who experiences this. In short, the music we love is linked to our life's passage.
Just the same, I love music and this stuff is great. You folks are having fun and learning of each other but I'm expanding the music I will listen to except hip hop. Who the heck is Nas? Made me go to Wikipedia.
The unintended consequence of this draft is that I have gone back to writing music which is my passion. Note I didn't say I was any good.
My absolute #1 "job" I would have liked was to be the trumpet player of Chicago. Now THAT must say a lot about me. I organized my first band when I was 13.
Thanks folks.
