By the way. Glad the Kings won yesterday.

Anybody else notice the good chemistry between the White squad in the scrimmage? I really enjoyed all of the passing, cutting, and post play from DMC and JT taking it right at Landry and Dalembert (though preferably more DMC and less JT postups please). The black team seemed all too content with a dribble around the perimeter attack, reminded me too much of the last two years.
In the end if the starters day one is the White squad with Tyreke instead of Pooh I would be satisfied.
Day 8 of training camp notes
I'm looking at Garcia as more of a two guard now," said Kings coach Paul Westphal after today's practice.
Westphal said the starting spot at small forward is "wide open."
"We're looking for somebody that answers that call," Westphal said. "We don't need somebody who's a No. 1 primary option in reality or in their own mind. We need somebody who's going to get the ball inside and knock down open shots."
Why is Marcus Landry starting? That bothers me.

Probably because we know where Donte and Casspi stand. Marcus' stellar play the other day in scrimmage probably earned him some more minutes and the organization wants to see if this is our 3rd-string dude before we make out final cuts. Why is Marcus Landry starting? That bothers me.
It could just as easily be Westphal sending a message to both Omri and Donte. I haven't heard Westphal say anything overly positive about either, although he has been quick to point out others who have impressed.Probably because we know where Donte and Casspi stand. I wish people would stop saying this like the Kings are the only team to have injured players. Just look at the Clippers, they lost their new power forward for the entire year, while the Blazers haven't had Oden(the next greatest player ever)for a full season or close to one for the past three years. Also lets not forget the Rockets who have had Yao and Tmac injured countless times for over a year at a time. So please stop the "ARCO was built on an Indian(native American now) Burial ground" crap. It's the way of the Kings
Spencer Hawes would be proud
Dude, who cares when he os gobbling up 16 boards, scoring 16 points, and playing decent to good post defense? I certainly don't care if once or twice a game he pops out and stretches the defense. Hell they should run a pick and pop with him and Tyreke cuz it would keep the defense honest as hell. A freaking bang-pants center that can step out and consistently drop 16-18 footers is HUMONGOUS.
Day 10
Coach says there are still 3 open spots in the starting lineup

You have to wonder how much of Westphal's ambiguity is motivational tool, how much is genuine uncertainty, and how much is him just toying with the fans.
You do have to wonder. And so do the players! (perhaps)
