Trade with Lakers

I've been to both Staples and Arco for Lakers/Kings games multiple times. They're always fun, but I'm done with Arco. I don't enjoy beer being poured on me or the insults...and that's just because of my clothes, because I went alone and talked to no one.

That being said...you can keep Artest. We've got enough drama, we don't need a crazy dude too. ;)

Well there is definitely a dress code at Arco. Yellow and the number 24 are strictly not accepted.

Can't believe a Kings fan would waste good beer on a lakers fan.

Hoops I am totally kidding. That is clearly taking it too far. It is sad what fully grown adults will stoop to in moments of fanatical inebriation.

I don't wear player numbers...just team gear. And I would not wear anything with #24 on it. :)..although I do have a old school blue/white jersey with 44 on it.

Dang, hoopsie! If I'd been there, I'd have knocked them in the head.

Don't feel too bad about it..You won't believe the things I heard at Staples Center with my Kings jersey on..

Sorry, J_J, but I do feel bad about it because:

1. hoopsfan is my FRIEND!!!!

2. What happens in Staples Center need not have any bearing on the way Kings fans act toward fans of other teams in ARCO.

Yea, you are right...................

Those kind of people make ARCO and our fans look bad, so that really sucks

Unfortunately, you can have those things happen to you at any arena you go to..That's how some people are :(

You are right...and it is sad. :(

Let me start off as saying I am a Laker fan... I know we have had our rivalries in the past.... But that has been dead for a few years now. I have question for you guys and I offer it as an olive branch to the kings...

Is thier anyone on the Laker Squad that you would want for Artest? Outside of Kobe and Odom? Bynum? Walton? Kwame? Vlad Rad? Brian Cook?

Just curious. I know both of our teams are in dire straits right now.

Good Luck on your upcomming season

funny how you say the rivalry is over when everyone here in the LA area still hates the kings, are you trying to sweet talk the members on this board to somehow get a trade to happen in the lakers favor both our teams suck bunyum is a bust odom is inconsistent, gets scared to take the "BiG" shots, kobe is selfish can't play along anyone one any team, and the rest of the lakers=GARBAGE, besides if artest goes to LA he's not going to be concentrating on playing b-ball he will be too heavy in the rap business, LA is known for the stars, can't see kobe playing along side artest both guys think their too talented 4 their own good BTW i'm a artest fan if ya didn't know he stays sorry!

GO KINGS!

Yeah, adults shouldn't pour beer on people and stuff. Pouring stuff on people is stuff 12 year olds do... not adults. That's pathetic.

Sucks that you were treated that way hoopsfan.

I would love to see Kobe Bryant and Ron Artest try to co-exist in Los Angeles, especially if Odom is still there. That team would have self-destruction written all over it, if you ask me.

And it wouldn't take much to get Artest, if I was running the show. Kwame's contract expires next summer, so I would ask for Kwame + Farmar, settle for Kwame + 2nd rounder, and would be okay with just Kwame for Artest straight up. If Ron isn't going to be a part of our long-term plan, we might as well get something for him before he melts down on us.

Exactly. I don't know why everyone assumes Artest would actually HELP the Lakers. The help part would last 2-3 months and then the meltdown part would start and they'd actually get worse.

Sad, but true. I'm all for being a die-hard fan...believe me, but people need to remember that it's just a game.

I'll still go to Arco for other games, just none involving my team. :)

I don't know; it may be fun in a Rodman on the Lakers kind of way. The lockout season was a really strange one.

You can have him for Bynum, a short term contract, and a bag of chips. I'll trade insanity for sanity anyday.

I just went to a sports jersey store at Fox Hills Mall here in LA. The salesmen walked toward me and asked me what team I was looking for. I said "I'm a Sacramento Kings fan." Immediately he turned around and went back to talking to his coworker. Rivalry dead? Lakers fans like to say so, but they know who was the biggest threat to cutting their dynasty short. Anyone remember that the Kings took them to 5 (in a series of 5) as the 8th seed? That got awfully close to a major upset.

In that case, mark your calendar for opening night. :D

BTW - That would be Tuesday, Nov 6th. Put in for the time off now. :p
