Ok...

Kenny Thomas, Corliss, and Skinner...

For Chris Webber.

I know, I know, it's crazy! The money doesn't quite add up. They might have to throw us some filler. But it might just make us a good team again!

Oh, and Peja for a ham sandwich. And I hate ham.

LOL Made me laugh.

Yah, I would totally do that.. We get a stater in giving up 2 guys that Adleman does not use, and another that does not like coming off the bench.. Yah, I would do that in a second.

WIth our luck he'd probably hurt his knee first game back.

You mean in practice before the first game

BTW - I can't believe there is a thread for this

You know, that's not bad! :D

Then we pickup Barnes to fill one of the roster spots and go:

C- Miller
PF - Webber
SF- Peja
OG - Wells
PG - Bibby

6th - SAR
7th - Garcia
8th - Barnes
9th - Hart
10th - Martin
11th - Sampson
12th - Price

Youth + athleticism off the bench with a true scoring 6th man...it just might work! ;)

re: Webber

76ers forward Chris Webber sat out practice with right Achilles' tendonitis Tuesday, but he's expected to play Wednesday night, reports the Philadelphia Daily News.

Got this on Fanball.com

No thank you.

Yes truly, I mean if a guy sits out a single practice with right Achilles tendinitis now way I want him on my team!

It's going to be a great day when the last Kings fan gets over the Webber trade. I may die of happiness.

Living in the past will not get us anywhere.

Trading Webber was a right idea.

Trading him for a hot dog, a six pack and a bag of chips was horrible idea.

No, it'll be a great day when Peja is traded so I don't have to keep seeing his sorry a-s on our team and saying, "Wait wait...tell me again why they chose Peja over Webber?"

Webber makes his teammates better. See: Bibby. Peja makes everyone worse. He can't pass, can't defend, can't even shoot anymore.

Ya, real good idea Kings 7-10 and sucking without Webb's 40.3 mpg, 19.7 ppg, 10.3 rbs, 3.7 assists

and what we traded him for have a combined 36.7 mpg 12.2 ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.9 apg; all the while leading ending a great run of Kings teams.

It trades like these that get GMs fired.

You honestly think the defense would be BETTER with Webb back?!?!?

Nope, but I think the offense of my above lineup would be potent once again and we could ponder future rebuilding plans from the serene viewpoint of a 50win team rather than the panicked crumbling house of a cellar dweller.

In any case, Kings fans will get over the Webb trade abiout the time either Webb falls into his long reputed yet still mythological steep decline, or that we field a winning team without him on the roster (something we have never done in Sacto franchise history). As neither of those prerequisites has been met, its the most natural reaction in the world. I've said before it accomplishes nothing, but given our other exciting choices as Kings fans right now -- should we fire the coach or the players? -- amsuing what ifs are considerably preferable.

You took this out of the context. if You read my whole message - You would see that we absolutely agree on that one.

I don't think you seriously believe that lineup was going to win a championship, and do you also really believe that it's a preferable rebuilding model to be a 1st round and out team rather an underachieving team that has some talent and tradable pieces?

Look, seriously, consider therapy people, Webber ain't coming back.

And I don't know why everyone is panicking so much, I'm happy to see the genesis of the new Kings rather than watch a 32 year old in a 45 year old's body try in vain for a championship.

Consider therapy? Retard.

Obviously he is not coming back. It was a FREAKING joke. It doesn't mean I can't wish they had traded Peja instead.

You may get your wish here pretty soon.

Webber is gone I get that, though Petrie should be gone for how he was fleeced...He is not coming back and I recognize and am more then ok with that. Just dont say it was a good trade. There are zero factors which lead to a reasonable conclusion such as that.

I would love to watch the genesis new talent, but frankly, I dont see this new young talent. If we would have got AI2 or even Korver or Dalembert, sure. But what genesis of talent do we have here.

I said earlier that I would get over it when Peja is traded, but that's not true. Because when we trade Peja I'll just be thinking, "So WHY did we give up Webber for garbage?" For nothing. They chose Peja and Peja has stunk. Now we'll have no Webber, no Peja. I will admit, after the shock and anger wore off, I thought Petrie made the right choice. None of us had a crystal ball, and no one could have known that Webber's knee would have improved as it had, or that Peja would regress. So maybe it's a bit hypocritical, but I don't get paid big bucks and I don't win Executive of the Year awards.

My hate for all things Maloofs makes me think their fingerprints were all over the trade, anyways. So I don't blame Geoff.
