As Gen. MacAuliff once said at the Battle of the Bulge: "NUTS"!

Sure hope your not. Why trade for a cancer who is not a team player????

I think its a great move and Knicks get who they want and dump someone they don't want. They also have the balls to buy out the other contracts.

This would be that capspace benefit fo the Marbury contract -- we talked about that last season, and most people were just so horrified by the name "Marbury" that thye did not want to consider the rest of it. But there is a value there -- not to Starbury himself, but just to his contract as a way to clear $$.

But times have changed for the Knicks. I'm not sure they are into taking on $$ anymore. And with Donnie Walash in town, would he actually want Artest again after what the guy did to his last team?

Destroy a good, upcoming young team for the sake of cap space in 09/10?? What, you think Kings are going after LeBron or Wade or sumthin??

If Kings hold onto Beno that takes care of PG need plus Kevin at the 2 and RonRon/Salmons at the 3.

KT and SAR are deadwood that after this coming year become expiring contracts year after. Either could help a number of teams but at $8.5M and $6.6M year after next, kinda tough. But GP may find a way. If SAR is 100% he might be a better choice than Mikki to hold onto and mentor the young bigs.

horrible horrible idea. artest is far better than marbury. id rather hold on to artest and see if some chemistry develops with our current roster than trade him away for capspace. cap space is a doubly stupid thing to go after considering that sacramento has never been a destination for marquee free agents, and triply so when you consider that after next year brooklyn, new york, and some other teams are going to be clear of space and gunning for whoever hits the market. and big markets have a pull in themselves that the kings cant match. i think artest fits the kings future better than most of you will care to admit. sar and kt can fill up some minutes while we wait for thompson and hawes to come along. theyre contracts will be valuable trade bait after this season, and even if they dont get moved theyll expire in another year anyway- just in time for the kings playoff window to open.

Knicks

Won't do that deal. Why in the world wouldn't they want the expiring? They'd take on two more whales and a talent? Times are changing in NY, no more pullin the wool over......
