A player I would like to pry away is Terrence Jones of the Rockets. I've liked Jones since he played at Kentucky, and he brings a little bit of both worlds that the Kings say their looking for in a PF. He's 6'9" with a nice wingspan and he's a very good athlete. He's a good defender in the post who will block his share of shots. He rebounds well, and he also has the ability to move outside and shoot the ball. He's not a great 3 point shooter, but he's improved every year and up to around 33% right now. He just came back from an injury, and while he was on the disabled list, the Rockets went out and acquired Josh Smith, who is now taking a lot of the minutes Jones used to get. With a rotation of Howard, Motiejunas, and Smith, he might be available.
His per 36 rebounding rate is not so impressive this year at 7.5/game, although it was closer to 9 last year (Jason is about 9 this year).
His per 36 block rate this year 2.4. This is a little higher than last year which was 1.7. That is about what we would hope for in our starting PF, I would think.
The numbers suggest he would be an upgrade over JT, but I admittedly haven't seen him play too much.
