Today's press conference?

EM has a GREAT smile. And his eyes were dancing. This young man - and yes, he's young compared to me ;) - is excited to be the new head coach of the Sacramento Kings.

It was said all along that the Maloofs would make the decision. I feel just fine. :)
 
Petrie didn't have to vote. He did his research on him as well and gave that info to the Maloofs to base their decision off of as well as their own research. You can tell Petrie is completely on board with this hire.
 
It might be linked on the News10 website. I'd check there in a little while, AND I'm sure it will show up on Kings.com sooner or later.

They didn't mention it being rebroadcast, however.

I haven't seen Geoff Petrie so relaxed in ... well, forever. He, Joe and Gavin are clearly so in synch about this that it's almost unbelieveable. There's a GOOD chemistry between the Maloofs, Petrie and Musselman that should be good for all of us.

I haven't said this lately, but...

I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!

VF21 did a good job of covering the major points, but I did TIVO the press conference, so if anyone has specific questions about it I don't mind going back and getting the actual quote.

Well, there is draft day, and then Free Agency Day, and then summer league. And then training camp...

I am just so happy that we can finally put everything else behind us and just look foward again. Like I said above, make sure you're on the bandwagon early ;) because it just might get really crowded later on down the road.

After I saw the press conference, I almost wetted on myself. Musselman is about as hungry as some NBA players. And it seem like every down the board is perfectly on the same page. I can't wait to see how he pans out during the offseason and future regular seasons to come. And like VF.....

Nice interview, now lets see the Maloofs put their money where thier mouth is and send Petrie out to bring in a TOP big man no mater the cost!

Not really. I was at the mall. There weren't all that many people there. What surprised me was how many people didn't know what was going on. They were laughing that I, a Lakers fan, was filling them in on the latest in Kingsland. :D

Congrats on your new coach....and that it wasn't Whiz! ;)

Just hang aroung UB. Your posting on PD about why Muss should be the next Pacers coach opened my eyes to Muss long before he was even interviewed.

This will be so much fun.
 
At first I really wanted Elie, but I must say that Muss has inspired me. I am glad to have this guy as our new head coach. While I was watching the press conference I could tell that this guy has a plan and that he is going to be successful here. It's a good day to be a Kings Fan.

Seems like everyone is happy with the decision, however, I'm going to just wait until the season starts. Now don't get me wrong, I never said I didn't want Mussleman as the next Kings coach, I'm just not going to get overly excited yet.

But I'm glad the Maloofs didn't pick Whis. Now, that's a good thing.
