This Laker Girl For Rent...

Only in Hollywood! During last night's Sixers/Lakers game, the Laker Girls were on the court dancing, all wearing t-shirts that reas "Finding Neverland" on the front, "Now Available on DVD" on the back. What's next? "This Space For Rent"? "Eat At Joe's"? I didn't think the Lakers were quite THAT classless as to sell advertising space on their dance team.

Well since the movie stars aren't at the Lakers games anymore (they're in miami) to promote their own movies the laker girls have to do it. They would put it on the player's jerseys but no one's watching them.

Every year they advertise an upcoming movie. I guess that particular movie studio is a sponser. Last year it was The Matrix..before that The Lord of The Rings, etc. They're in LA after all.
Don't the Maloofs advertise the Palms during Kings games?

And to my knowledge, although there is a page in the program about the Palms, the Maloofs do not have the Royal Court Dancers in hula skirts, etc. promoting the Palms.

I'm kinda grumpy cuz this week is going so slow and I'm off all next week...going to visit the family, (and eat at my favorite Italian restaurant)
It'll be nice to get away from this lovely town for a while.

Lakers have ALWAYS been about shameless advertising. For God's sake if you go to the team home page the curser is a freeking Mc Donald's golden archs logo. Honestly I don't think there is any marketing low they will not limbo under.

Thanks 6th, I will. She's doing really good. In fact she called me this morning on her way to the hospital for a chat and after today she's only got 10 more treatments.
