The Wrestling Thread~

Hey if you think WWE is bad come to Portland (or across the river cuz this going over like a lead baloon)

Well guy wised up and dropped him from the show. Venue was 300 cap and apparently local talent "wanted to work with him". I don't know the world will ever forgive the guy but as far as I'm aware he hasn't done anything to deserve the opportunity. Can't imagine a one trick pony wouldn't eventually return to his pony trick either. One big slow play until he does it again.

Just glad it's not happening here.

would the guy still be doing his whole “penis power” gimmick thing? Hard to imagine that going over well given what everyone knows about him now.

I assume the "born again" thing is his gimmick? If he's even working again already, this lasted maybe 16 hours. Still can only imagine at some point he'll become un-born again. Honestly could only imagine the entirety of his new gimmick is not being the old gimmick.

He'll be "un-born again" as soon as he figures out that being "born again" won't be enough to keep the people off his neck.

@pdxKingsFan, I feel like you buried the lede here:

Prestige Wrestling promoter William Quintana responded to the attempt at bringing Ryan back into the world of professional wrestling. “If you’re on our shows and you willingly share this locker room, help set up at this show or are involved with this show you are getting pulled from all future bookings. So goddamn tired of this stuff. Gatekeep harder.”

Prestige Wrestling also announced a new event taking place on August 23 titled “FJR”.

“A night of safe space pro-wrestling action, for the scene, by the scene that helped cultivate modern day Portland wrestling.”

Tickets for the event are donation based. 100% of the profits after expenses will be donated to charity.

There's standing on business and then there's Standing On Business™.

I actually wasn’t hip to that. I think I may follow Portland Wrestling on Facebook but I thought I followed the one dedicated to Don Owen’s promotion and territory history.
