Too much too soon. I dig Theory. He’s a good wrestler who *can* play a character when in the right role (Idiot son of The Way was great!) Cocky selfie dude that Vince loves ain’t it though.

Agreed. On the contrary, I think they totally nailed the Women's MITB ladder match. I just didn't think that they would have Liv cash in on the same night. If it were me, I would have waited a couple of months, and had her cash it in during one of the major PPV events (Survivor Series, or maybe even the Royal Rumble).
Out of everybody booked in the 2022 Men's Money In The Bank, the only one I would have chosen ahead of Theory is Sami Zayn... Which isn't to say that Theory was a good choice, but I don't see it for Riddle, Omos or Madcap Moss, and giving the briefcase to a multiple-time former champion is a waste, IMO.

And I hope they don't take the belt off of her at SummerSlam. I fear that they've only given the belt to Liv as a placeholder until SummerSlam, and she'll then drop it to Rhonda. Which would suck.

I would have been fine with either: Sami Zayn, Sheamus, or Drew McIntyre. But NOT Theory...Seth Rollins would have been bearable as well, but I would have preferred any of the other three listed.

I wanted Seth not only because he’s my guy, but I was sure they were just going to go the WrestleMania San Francisco replay, and use Seth to finally break up the Roman stranglehold on both titles.

One of the things that got my attention about early Ring of Honor was that they made it a point that they weren't going to have any multiple-time champions. And, through the first 12 years of the company's history, there was only one two-time ROH champion. I don't want to see any more multiple-time MITB winners.

Yeah, well the issue with your statement is that no one, other than the die-hard WWE fans, is going to give two hoots about what you want. It's the unfortunate reality in which we live when it comes to the WWE. They love their "mega stars", and as long as they do, you're going to see multiple-time MITB winners, and multiple-time world championship winners, amongst the other "multiple-time" things that they seem to do.
I hear you, though, and I would like to see them put the belt on others not named Cena, Reigns, Rollins, or Lesnar. I'm just not convinced that it will ever become reality when it comes to the WWE.
You can't have new stars until you make new stars. And the guy who was least willing to give somebody new a chance to get over organically allegedly just quit.

And we're not even sure if his daughter, who allegedly will be the one in charge at the end of the day, will be the one to give somebody new a chance to get over.

Man, I bet some of those NXT callups of yesteryear would have had a much better chance to be stars without Vince.
Keith Lee. Kross. Swerve. Neville. Just to name a few.
Who knows what they would have done with Steph running the show, but would it have been “Bearkat”, “Helmet”, “Immediately Fired”, and “Shoehorned into 205 Live Forever until he quits?”

I actually thought that having Carmella win at that time was genius. I could never understand the point of Ellsworth, though...The dude annoyed the crap out of me.

I'm definitely not anti-repeat champs (though I hate WWEs booking of such) but for MITB 100%. It's a stepping stone to give someone a trial balloon who otherwise may not be quite there yet. The established guys do not need it.

And to your first point, I've always considered NXT to be the model show for how the rest of the WWE should be run, so I hope HHH/Stephanie can recreate some of that magic and bleed over to RAW and Smackdown. That would be money.

I agree with you, but when it comes to a field such as the one they had this year, I'd much rather see them give it to an established guy as opposed to someone like Theory.
Don't get me wrong here...I have NOTHING against Theory, as I think he's going to win multiple titles in his career. I just don't agree with the timing of the whole thing. I think they gave him the briefcase way too soon. Next year would have been fine.

At the risk of skirting the line of the political, both sides are not equally bad here. Stephanie McMahon would not be my first choice to take over as CEO of WWE. She would not be my first choice to take over as head of creative. She would not be the person I'd trust the most to create new stars...
Carmella gets entirely too much hate on my wrestling board. She’s a perfectly fine midcard / rare contender level talent. Nothing wrong with that role.

Yeah, to your point, I kind of fear that the WWE has way too much of the McMahon family name all over it to ever become as good as it once was during its glory days.
