I was just looking at the standings and it's amazing the difference between the east and west.

In the east everyone except the Wizards still has a realistic shot at the playoffs.

In the west it's really already down to 9 teams. There is an 11 game difference between Utah and Minnesota.

With the playoffs already out of reach for so many teams there could be a lot of tanking down the stretch to try and improve draft position. Right now only 7 games separate the worst 7 teams.

We're tank-proof. We're NOT tanking, we're just that bad as a cohesive unit right now, and I think the up-coming 2-3 deals Geoff will pull out in the next couple of weeks will only make us worse in the short-term.

Damn -- the Wolves just lost Al Jefferson to an ACL. Not only does that mess up a couple of my fantasy teams (why people were sleeping on him after last year I do not know), but it makes me nervous about them falling back again. I think Kevin Love is going to explode for some big games, but I hope they have enough left to hold onto their 6 game cushion over us.

As an aside, we still occassionally like to throw out injuries as some excuse for this season -- yet the Clippers have lost every major player on theior roster for a season, the Wizards have lost two of their starters to season long injuries (Arenas and Haywood), Utah has played all season wihtout Boozer, and half of it without Deron and/or Kirilenko, the Bucks have lost both Bogut and Redd for the year, and now Minnesota joins the group having lost two starters to torn ACLs in one season (Brewer and Jefferson). We ain't been injured.

I guess Love seems like a good pickup now eh? I wouldn't be surprised if Love goes off for 18ppg 10rpg 3apg 1bpg for the rest of the year.

yeah that love-mayo trade trade doesnt look that bad now... gm of the year material...

Well I highly doubt we'll win another 6 games.
