The season is NOT OVER!!!!!!!!!

Seriously why does people think we have given up on the season? Don't we have 4 players who can pick up the offensive slack that we lose in Webber. The season is not done we still have 3 allstar calibur players on team. I bet atleast 16 other teams would love to have the talent we have in this team. Also if Petrie wanted to throw away the season he would have traded Cwebb for cap space in Glen. The fact that he improved on weaknesses still leads me to believe that he has no given up on this team. Neither should anyone. I know this trade is not the best we could come up with, but think of this we are not a GM. We do not know what CWebb trade value is?

Sorry but this was highway robbery, anyway which way you disect it.

I agree that we did not get much of the trade. But what I don not understand is people thinking the season is over. It is not we still have talent to compete for the title. We still have the offense now we have improved our defense and rebounding. Our team has asmuch as chance to win the title then the team we had with Webber. You know why because this trade makes us better defnsively.

yeah, our season is not over. neither is the Hawk's season, for that matter. All teams will play their regularly scheduled games regardless. We may very well even make the playoffs, but beyond there forget it. I hope I eat my words, but without Webb we are not even close to championship contender. Can't even think of a team that we would want to see in the first round. This team was a long shot as a championship contender this year, but without Webb's passion and heart it's a no go.

Our rebounding did not improve, and I doubt our defense did either. This trade was not about what we gained, it was about getting rid of Webber. If you think this team is better without Webber that is your choice, but I think it was a bad move.

I don't think the season is over at all. But I also don't see us going past the first round. Who's gonna play in the post now? Who is gonna guard the other elite bigs? Our season is far from over and things might just work out in the end, but we just lost a major part of our team and will take time intergrating everyone.

We did not improve our rebounding.

We did not get appreciably better defensively, although might be a little more effort there. Unless Skinner actually plays, and the Tag experience suggests he will not, Thomas and Corliss are undersized and stuck to the floor and can not block a shot to save their lives. We actually managed to get WORSE at intimidating cutters with the block, if that is possible.

At least these guys might give a hard foul.

Finally some people around here with a glue to what’s going on. We needed defensive help. We needed some defensive role plaerys, hard-nosed eastern conference players to come in and make some stops. We have enough Offense without Chris. Let Peja, Bibby, and Miller shot all they want.

This season is far from over.

Who the heck do people think we icked up? These are NOT big rebounders, and they arfe NOT defensive stoppers.

This year Philadelphia has been almost as bad as we are on the boards and on defense. Kenny Thomas and Corliss are nobody's ideas of stoppers or inside mashers.

I know the season isn't over for the Kings. It's just over for me as a Kings fan.

Why do you pull this trade now and not in the offseason? Does this improve our chances of getting past the first round? Nope? So I don't understand why drastic measures had to be made. Would Philly still want to dump these guys in the offseason if they had the chance, probally yes? So why now? I just don't get it.

The real deal was Webber + Unhappy Peja for Happy Peja + 3 guys with equal salary to Webber. I hope the 2nd side is greater than the first. I hope Peja has caught a case of the VC's and becomes the player he once was, if he doesn't then we got a problem.

exactly. this trade was about getting rid of Webber, and probably to keep Peja happy. That is the ONLY thing I can figure out. The pieces we picked up did not address our issues, and will not improve our team. They have long contracts, so it wasn't about salary dumping.

Time will tell, time will tell. I think everybody freaking out is just a little sad if you ask me. Have faith..i know i do.

we traded our best player and got 3 squad players in instead. i feel let down. we should have tried to get a trade for a better player that could replace webber
