The optimism thread

Note: This is the optimism thread. Therefore, I am not sure that Piksi needs to post here. :D

Dis' the Denver win all you want naysayers. I am looking at our schedule for the next few weeks. I believe that the Nuggets game was the start of something beautiful. I predict that we will win at least 9 of 13 games starting with the win in Denver.

Call it delusional or call it the Christmas spirit. I am just saying that it is time to get happy (or at least happier).

Cheers and tidings of good joy!

Pass the Egg Nog...

:D

1: We are only 2 games below .500

2: Ron Artest, in my opinion, is clearly not 100%...And I have been claiming that since pre-knee problems...HE was huge last year...This year, not so much.

3: Bibby has been Jason Hart-esq...Coming from a starting PG, that is not a good thing.

4: Bibby and Ron can only improve.

So, the outlook shouldn't be as negative as everyone seems to think it...I have faith in these guys, and once those two get better, and learn to fit each other's games, we could be decent.

I'm with VF21. Cheers!!

"For behold, I bring you tidings of great joy!"

I've got the rum for the eggnog.

I've been trying really hard to stay optimist, althought it hasn't been easy. I am encouraged byt the last 2 games, from what I saw, we're playing better offensively and that has been seriously lacking this year. I still don't like Muss and think he should be replaced but I have some hope. I know a championship is well out of our reach but with some changes, good things can happen.

I'm a "glass half full" kind of person, so I tend to be optimistic. Except in spurts where I let the frustration of the moment overtake my thinking.

I was noticing the standings this morning. And when I look at standings during the year, I only look at the loss column. (As Napear says, you can't make those up.)

If you look at the loss column, we are tied for the 8th seed.

Not bad for a team that has largely sucked it's way through November and December.

Another random thought... we are largely the same team that nearly beat the Spurs in round 1 last year. The differences are

1) Take away Bonzi Wells.

2) Add in Salmons and a consistent K-Mart.

3) Impact of injuries to Bibby, Artest, and Miller to this point.

4) Way different coach. Is that good or bad? IMHO, it's still too soon to judge.

Anyway, there's my little burst of happy fairy dust for today. :D

To be a Kings fan today is at some internal level, to be an optimist. Otherwise, we'd not be posting here. As the old saying goes, hope springs eternal.

In spite of where the team is at, I am optimistic for the future!

There will always be games that the Kings lose,
There will always be games that the Kings win,
Optimism is believing there will be more of the latter.

I still believe. :D

whatever happens to "team optimist" from the summer? Are they still around?

Still here. I tend to be a year 'round optimist when it comes to this game. The worse reality looks the more of an optimist I become.:D I'm just like that, I guess.

Also, speaking as a die-hard optimist, I will say we are beating the teams we are supposed to beat.

How's that?

We haven't always done even that this season.
