There's no need to play him for trade value he is expiring that's enough and the only reason a team trades for him
I don't understand this sentiment to cut the guy. He has some trade value and will go off for points once in awhile when his 3 is falling. It's unfortunate that he didn't figure out his particular specialty, but you don't just cut the dude.
Yes. That's why when you sign a guy, you have to be sure of what you are getting. You can't cut him. As the #2 pick, he is not making chump change even if it is a rookie contract. What I like is a few contracts are expiring at the end of this year and I figure we have a year to figure out exactly what we need and then go get him. I hope Rudy adjusts to our offense or we adjust to his and he wants to stay at a reasonable amount otherwise my ideas can be flushed down the toilet. I had scratched DWill from our team already. It's just a matter of when.
Have you told Malone yet?![]()
We traded away Mbah a Moute, Prince of Cameroon, for him. Way to insult an entire country.
Looking back, some of us were not fond of the trade when it went down. Moute had just settled into his lockdown mode guarding positions 1-4, including an awesome stint against Chris Paul...and the feeling of changing the defensive "culture" was starting to take place. He would be a valuable player to have with this current roster
I understood the trade as getting a #2 pick is worth a risk. It didn't fit with what we were told about the defensive culture and a lot of people were scratching their head but I guess you've said that.Apparently defensive culture will be to teach team defense and I'm OK with that. I'm seeing a little more interest in defense.
To have that kind of defensive stopper to bring in late in games, is extremely valuable...especially with our shooting guards who are not lockdown guys. Wish we could bring him back
Ya wee need him and the way the 76ers trade he would be easy to get unfortunelty I don't think we would do it but I badly hope we do

I'm far from ok with just "teaching" team defense if Malone keeps following that up with three guard lineups and/or a Reggie/Landry pairing down low.I understood the trade as getting a #2 pick is worth a risk. Malone is also talking far less about defense this year, which leads me to believe PDA has polluted his thought process.
McLemore and someone else, for Moute ??
