Sorry, I am not a fan of the "New" Kings unis. They look OK, but I like the Kings uniforms that they have right now, the best in the league.
 
you guys need to brace for change....cuz every few years all the teams change their uni's...we can't keep them the same forever
 
There are two different things here, IMHO. First, the uniforms. Second, the logos. I think there is probably a good chance the uniforms will change and if they do I have no problems with the new ones and love the idea of them bringing back the black, so to speak.

As far as the logos go, however, I would really like to see the Maloofs poll the fans before doing something like that.

The "King" looks more like a pawn who has stolen the King's crown - and I don't like him.

I think I'll start a poll.

The other thing to keep in mind is that just because the 'concept' is done in black and white, doesn't mean the end product would be. Our main color is purple. I like the black road uni's and if they want to market some more jerseys, break out the black alternates.
 
I think those unis mix the colors well, putting the black and purples on the sides, with the main color showing the most. The purple ones we have now are too purple, so even if the black is just a concept, the black on the purple looks nice.
 
It appears these come from nothing more than a site where fans design what they think would be good logos, uniforms, etc. for various teams.

I don't think we need to worry.

(And I should have checked this thoroughly before starting that stupid poll.) ;)
 
To bad this isnt being considered...I absolutly LOVE the uniforms...Plus I'm not to much of a fan of our current ones as well, so I'd like a bunch of stuff better.

The logo, on the other hand is different. That is just ugly.
 
Kind of interesting, because these were labeled as the "new Phoenix unis" and they do look similar to that.

It looks like these people have been making "concepts" to the golden state warriors, houston rockets, Miami Heat, denver nuggets, utah jazz, charlotte bobcats uni's too, and they do look either the same or a little bit different to their current jerseys.

I looked under their "NBA uniform projects" and it looks like they were the designers for our kings uniform, and a lot of the other NBA teams.

I really hope that our unis don't look like this lol. I kind of like the mean looking King as a side logo.

:edit: There's going to be a new nba team the Buffalo Braves??? :confused:

BTW: I like the Suns jerseys, those are tight.
 
I don't really like the black and purple combination. There is just not enough contrast. Those uinforms are gloomy and dark. The stuff looks pseudo-gangsta. Purple and white, or black and white, or blue and white, is how I would go. I actually like the "gay blue" uniforms. I'm a happy guy.

Did anyone else notice that LaSalle Thompson commented the other night that shorter shorts allow greater freedom of movement? I would think that the huge "Allen Iverson gangsta" shorts would get in the way of dribbling, cross-overs, and passing the ball. I wonder if that's why John Stockton never made the "cultural switch" to baggy shorts?

I happen to like the new design...if it was the new design. Let's just pretend it is. Albeitrue's got the right idea.
 
Gargy - Don't worry. You're still my favorite Laker fan. ;)

The logo is, IMHO, yucky. It looks like a pawn in King's clothing. ;) I like the concept for the uniforms, especially the black. I loved our old black uniforms.

If I were a Kings fan, I'd get a Rock retro jersey intstead of a current one. Mitch was da proverbial man. That way, everyone could KNOW that I ain't no newbie to the Kingsfan game and it would be rare enough that people would ask me where I got it and they would envy my Rock retro jersey. Garg's all about the attention.

The Buffalo Braves were in existance from 1970-78. They moved to San Diego and changed their names to the Clippers. They then moved to LA in 1984.

Randy Smith incidentally is 2nd all-time in consecutive games played at 906 (behind AC Green). He was a good all-around scoring guard for Buffalo.

I didn't buy it. It was a gift. Kind of a forced gift - as in "Get me the Theus jersey or learn to cook your own dinner" - but it WAS a gift nonetheless.

The logo is hideous. Why anyone would want to change the current Primary one is beyond me. I think it's the coolest in the NBA.
