the lakers and kobe bryant are trash

Kobes got a million points and the teams up a million points yet they keep him in the game... If he would've gotten hurt I would've laughed... And he took every shot in sight and his teammates allowed that to happen by giving him the ball CONSISTENTLY... I got no respect for kobe and the whole laker organization..
 
that is all they got left. Their team is sad. kobe is great - no question.
I was surprized that they did not keep it much closer because with 2 OTs he would have gotten 100.

And no - he will never be M.J.

i think any player who has a shooting nite like that should go for a record

and it was nice to see lakers players give him the ball to achive what he did

Smush parker just said that he was more impressed with the teams team defense over kobes 81 points... He didn't even seem impressed with kobes individual onslaught... They're turning on him already....

I DO NOT like the Lakers, nor do I like Kobe but I DO respect his game and skills. The guy is amazing.. don't really like the way he plays but give the guy credit cause his ability alone deserves recognition.

Larry Bird pull off the same stunt back in the day. I don't remember the game, but I remember clips of the Celtics fouling to get Bird more plays. That being said, I do respect Kobe's game and what he did tonight is an amazing feat.

I'm no Kobe Bryant fan, but this thread comes off as really low class... And even if you wanted to say that the comments were okay because "this is a Kings board" (which is a cop-out, in my opinion), this could have easily gone in the other Kobe Bryant thread, unless you had some particular reason to want to call attention to yourself, ONEZERO.
 
i don't think anyone can belittle whagt kobe has accomplished tonight. that is no easy feat, especially for a shooting guard. the highlights are utterly amazing. i wish i could have seen the game.
 
None of his teammates care... All the interviews have his teammates acting as if they don't even care... They're really not liking all the attention he's getting...
 
the performance was amazing....

the lakers were behind big....and kobe single handedly brought them back and lead them to victory....

im not a laker fan, but trying to diminish the accomplishment is pretty low and wreaks of sour grapes......

Then they should stop making dumb mistakes (Odom) or learn how play (the rest), and maybe Kobe will pass them the ball.

I hate LAL and Kobe, but I don't see anything wrong with what they did. Many "classier" organization and players did same in the similar situation.

LOL, dont let your hatred for him blind the achievement that was made tonight.

About the attention he is getting, his teammates have no business in that, none of them got any attention until they became a laker and whatever they get even now is miniscule. What Kobe has been getting is from day one and has grown every day and hasnt gone down.

However since you seem to understand everything that happens in the laker land I will leave the judgement to you, but well said Slim
 
I'm taking anything away from the individual performance, but why couldn't they take him out of the game when he was say like at 68 or 70 points?? It was already over

I don't mind what he did. This is not the 1st time Kobe has tried to make a pont (wasn't there that 1 game in 03-04 where he refused to shoot?)

Records are made to be broken. Let him break it. It's not like it means anything in the long run.

You're letting your hate for Kobe blind yourself...You can't tell me if Bibby had a chance to score 80, you would be screaming at the TV to take him out...Not a chance.

Don't let your hate for him belttle this accomplishment.
 
Just stop hating on Kobe ok? He did something amazing tonite. He made history. All your hating wont take that accomplishment from him. So let it be.

If I belittle someone else's post, it's probably warranted; this thread was not warranted, and the OP didn't deserve it's own thread, even if it was warranted, which was basically my point. If you had put this in the other Kobe Bryant thread, I wouldn't have said anything; in fact, I probably would have disregarded you like I usually do.
 
Actually one more thing before I stop... For no apparent reason during the interview with kobe he mentions that his ankle is messed up... Omg what a loser... Peace
