No. He lasted three games. Specifically I guess they were upset for his shooting beyond the three point line. Over, and over, and over.

I thought it might be joke as his off the court issues have involved making threats with a gun.

If you look at the profile of the guy who tweeted this rumor, I have to wonder if it has any basis in fact whatsoever. It's not like any of the usual suspects has said anything...

Hoops hype did put it up on our rumor board. They usually stick with reliable sources. This is probably legit

As with I say with all these sort of workout opportunites: why not? One thing I've really liked that the FO has done is bring in these sort of "lightening in a bottle" sort of guys with the hopes of hitting on one. All it takes is one guy to hit and it'll be worth 10x the actual investment you made in the player.

Taking chances on guys like Casspi, Acy, Moreland, Williams etc cost us nothing. We have nothing invested in them and don't need to see a single return on them. If Williams looks like he's matured a bit, great, get him in TC and see if he still wants to compete for the NBA dream. If not, then cut him loose and all our FO wastes is a couple of hours at the workout

It took me a few minutes to get the pun around the word "shooting." Sorry for being so dang ignorant. :) This aging thing is a problem.

Okay, wait. Looking again, it says TWill HAS a workout/meeting with the Kings on Thursday. That would indicate that it hasn't actually happened yet. This would pretty much narrow down the source to someone within Williams' camp...

these are petrie-level acquisitions, evoking the memories of antoine wright, james johnson, jermaine taylor, poohead...
Just using James Johnson as an example last year, he played a 18 minute role a game for Memphis and was extremely good for them(PER of 18)...of course, he's a knucklehead and is now signed with Toronto but if you need a guy and are trying to win, those type of guys you take a small chance on and who knows, maybe it works. If it doesn't , then it doesn't. There is no doubting his talent and skills. If he played 18-20 minutes a game, there is no doubt he would fill the stat sheet in a number of areas but......he must be a guy that is god-awful off the court.

thought he was a good fit the first time around as a extra ball handler and defender. not sure why they didn't keep him.

at least this potential player fits the position-less.. pass, shoot, defend, rebound, 1, 2, 3 position.

Nothing the matter with taking a look at TWill. On overall talent alone he might be the 2nd most talented swingman on the team. A legit physical two way player. A mini Lance Stephensen. Unfortunately in more ways than one. But its the rest of the stuff that is just incalculable. And perhaps here one last time is our new front office's lack of experience/lack of institutional knowledge that the old one already had with TWill. Or who knows, maybe its the opposite. Maybe Cuz liked him back then or some such. In any case, TWill is every bit as legit an idea as Marshon Brooks....IF he isn't going to mess up the locker room. And since we've never 100% known what the issues were there, that's hard to answer.

Yes cuz really liked him

If we can sign another player and we can only choose between Terrence Williams and Quincy Acy, which one do you prefer?

I voted for Acy and I am quite sure that Williams is twice the athlete. There are more warning bells going on with Terrence than I have heard in quite awhile.

Acy and it's not really close. Effort, hustle, and appreciation for the opportunity. Not to mention still growing as a player.

I'd go with the better locker room presence in Acy, plus we know what we have with him. Terrence has been all over for his whole career, don't know if I want that type of personality around our locker room.

Most people probably didn't even know it was the same player. I was shocked when I saw him.

I voted Acy. His demeanor and presence on the court radiates through my laptop when he plays. I'm totally serious. He has a lot of room to improve on many aspects of his game. Plus he plays hard and dunks.
