Tai Gibson

Kingster

Hall of Famer
Anybody knows if he's coming out? Just completed freshman year. Now he, in my view, is definitely worth a top 10 pick. He dominated against NC before getting into foul trouble. 6'9", quick, jumper, finisher, shot blocker, good hands, good scorer. I have no ideas about character, just his his talent. He's got pro written all over him.

He should stay because of the depth of this draft and with OJ Mayo he is going to get about 100x the exposure next year.

I don't know if it's definite, but he's not likely to come out this year.

With no inside info at all...

I'd be kind of surprised if he didn't come out considering he is a 22-year old freshman. Umm...the NBA isn't huge on 23-year old rookies. Just seems like it'd behoove him to leave if he would go in the first round, which I think he would.

Dominating Tyler Hansborough isn't exactly the hardest thing to do. He isn't the best defender in the world. Neither is Brandon yet. He's a good player but he was the #32 recruit on Rivals board. I don't think 1 game makes him a certain top 10 pick.

Uhh, No. He dominated the entire front line of NC. Forget about Hansborough.

It still doesn't make him a very high pick right now. No board has him going in the top 10. He's still young, he still can get better but don't take 1 game and stretch it over a whole season. He hasn't been that good yet.

He sure as heck did. Wright didn't do anything when he was in there.

So do you think if Hedsfeld or whatever from Gonzaga never got on trouble, he would be a top 10 pick as well? He dominated UNC as well. If we drafted Gibson this year with a top 10 pick, we'd be taking him way too high.

If we do get a top 10 pick, I'm not saying we should draft him. I'm just saying the guy impressed me. He certainly is first round material in my opinion. What I'm really hoping for is making a trade and getting two #1s. Then maybe this guy falls in our lap.

Dude... Wright had 21 points, 9 rebounds, and a block on 9/15 shooting.

Yeah Taj Gibson totally dominated him:rolleyes:

Yeah, and when exactly did he get those points and rebounds? Did you see the game? It was when Gibson was out of the game. And Gibson's fouls were ticky-tack imo. Wright was afraid of getting his shot blocked by Gibson, not the other way around.

I still don't see why you want to take this guy based on 1 game. UNC D hasn't been that great all year. He did play really well in it but you can't base it on that and they make him a top 10 pick, it just doesn't make any sense.

He hasn't proved himself to be consistant enough to be a top 10 pick. I can't imagine him going in the first round this year in the draft.
