*whoo whoo!!!!!

BTW* since our drug and wellness counselor gives us facts on smoking I'll share w/ you a nice lil fact ;)

*It takes from three hours to three days to clean out the tar in your lungs when you smoke.

*The tar from one cigarette can be as much as a the area of your hand when your fists are closed.

I had a bit of a struggle this weekend, but I stayed tough. However, I have been eating entirely too much. I have gained about 8 lbs. Ack!!!!

That right there should be motivation for people wanting a reason to quit!

WTG, 6th!!!

I can think of no better way to spend my 1000 post then to support one of my friends.

over 2 months! I'm very very proud of you, I know part of this has been really rough.

Hurray for 6th, non-smoker!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to hoopsfan, VF21, and Prophetess. I know I can always count on my friends.

It just blows me away that someone could still have such a hard time remaining a non-smoker after almost 3 1/2 months. Ughh!!

Well, I went back and re-read this entire thread....more than 10 pages of support from my friends here at KingsFans.com. You all really got me through another low spot and I thank you!!!!!

I love you guys!!! :)

Yes, we WILL. Congrats to you on completing your first month, teamdimechampionship. Now, be sure and give yourself some kind of reward for your accomplishment. :)

Try showing your friend 6th's statistics!

LOL

$500 in about 4 months is more than I realized. And, to think that I have not smoked more than 3,000 cigarettes in 3 1/2 months is unbelievable to me.

Yea!!!!!!!! 6th and teamdime, both you guys keep up the hard work. What happened to hoodie, still smoke free??
6th- 8lbs isn't bad at all, a lot of people put on much more than that but don't let that deter you, you can lose the weight.
I also want to say that these people here are the BEST. So supportive, just like one big family. Sorry 6th, I know it's your thread but I just had to say that.

I'm going to spill the beans a bit, because I think I have more faith in 6th now than ever before...

A short time ago, when things were really going badly for our dear 6th, she MOMENTARILY fell off the smoke-free wagon and succumbed to ONE cigarette. She confessed this to me and has been dreading having to say anything in this thread for fear of letting everyone down.

Well, I think I know all of you pretty well through this thread and I want to be the first of many to tell 6th we're all still behind her and do not think any less of her for one small step backwards. She's still making big strides forward and I, for one, am VERY PROUD of her!!

1/3126 ? looks like a very small percentage to me.....6th, we know this is difficult...i have a friend at work who gave up on quitting because the job became toooo stressful...you're still going strong. We have faith in you. and if you ever feel really weak again, pick up the phone instead of a lighter...not only will it help you but the person on the other end will know that they are doing something to help someone.(and that feeling can make someones day, trust me)

Okay, where to start.............Last Tuesday (while at work) I walked out the back door (for an afternoon break), walked straight over to my friend, picked up her cigarettes, lit one, and smoked it. I will not apologize for it, because I now know that it is what I needed at the time. Yes, I am disappointed, but I will no longer beat myself up over it. I have NOT gone out and bought cigarettes. I have NOT started smoking again.

Okay, next news....I still do not have a job lined up in Sacramento, but....

I AM COMING HOME!!!

The time has come to make the move. It is scarey to make the move without knowing how long it will take to find employment. But, I will wait no longer. I am positive that it will be much easier to find a job once I am there instead of trying to find employment from 2000 miles away. Anyway, expect me to head back to Sac around the middle of May.

I will need a couple (few?) bodies with muscle to help me unload my truck around the 21st of May. Any and all volunteers appreciated. PM me if you think you can help. Thanks!!

OH YEAH, BABE!

As far as the momentary lapse is concerned, don't sweat the small stuff. If I'd been near a smoker today, I don't think I would have stopped at one.
