Stern taking the high road

Ha ha I like that video. You can tell that Stern really does like Sacramento bringing up how we pissed off Phil Jackson. I loved it.

He and everybody else know a renovation of the Natomas arena is never going to happen. Basically he's getting back at the Maloofs by using their own words against them. They said they were staying in Sacramento and he's saying they must be happy with the arena they're in, since they passed up a great chance for a new arena. Since he's said they won't get approved to move to Anaheim, he's really boxing them in. I love it.

I usually tend to not speak very highly of David Stern, for reasons obvious to the average Kings fan, but the dude is doing whatever it takes and whatever the heck is in his power to make this work for us Kings fans, and the city of Sacramento. To be honest with you, if the deal does not happen and the Kings relocate, ABSOLUTELY ZERO blame should go to Stern. The guy wants to see the Kings in Sacramento for the foreseeable future, and I admire and respect the dude a helluva lot for that reason alone.

I hope he is able to corner the MaGoofballs in a very tight corner, one so tight that the only thing for them to do is to sell the team.

I, hereby, begin a new chant.

STERN 4 SAC! STERN 4 SAC! STERN 4 SAC! STERN 4 SAC!

This is exactly what Stern is doing. He's been repeating over and over every chance he gets that the Maloofs say they want to stay in Sacramento at Power Balance and that he takes them at their word. As much as its painful listening to George and the other brothers talk to the media, they actually do Sacramento more good when they are vocal.

He said if the arena is upgraded they would be there for a number of years. Although I think he knows the city is probably not going to put any money into PBA, I wouldn't put words in his mouth. I'm sure sure he is aware of the reality of the situation and is putting a positive spin on it. Nothing more. The bottom line is I don't think the Kings are going anywhere any time soon regardless of how anything gets spun.
