Spurs vs. Lakers tonight.

i want the Lakers to win

the Lakers are holding on at the bottom of the playoff race...they aren't really a concern of ours other than the fact that we simply hate the Lakers...so if the spurs could lose this game it would be great...though highly unlikely...Lakers are still without Kobe.... it is though a little easier to root for the Lakers with their is no #8 out there...id love the hear the spurs fans excuse if they lost...due to my sudden disliking of the spurs fans

should be a relatively good game but i don't think im going to be tuning in

Used to be the Lakers for me too. Now its the Spurs simply because the Lakers pose no threat. :) With that said I still cant push myself to root for LA.

Ugh, I want the Lakers to win.

As I once said "I hate the Spurs with every ounce of NBA passion running through my veins."

makes no difference to kings which team wins or loses tonight.

as for hating, easy one is lakers. i don't hate the spurs, they are really a good team and their star players are pretty decent guys & don't spend a lot of time trashing other players/teams.

I take great pleasure in watching the Lakers loose. I actuly LIKE the Spurs. Sure I recognize them as the Kings primary competion and I want them to loose as many games as possible, but as team they play good solid ball, have no primadonas, no BS, just hard to hate. I wish there was a way to watch the Lkers beatne and for the Spurs to take a loss but alas that is not possible. Either way the game goes I'll be ok with the outcome.

We need the Lakers to win. This fascination with a team barely hanging in the playoff picture is going a little too far. Our goal is still to win an NBA title, not to have the Lakers lose. And Spurs losing does a lot more for us than just another loss for the Lakers.

More detached logic from a guy with out a sentemental bone in his body. Oh well Bick, when you are right you are right and this time you are right, it is definatly in the kings best interest to see the Spurs loose. But nonethe less if the Lakers get their butts handed to them, as I suspect they will, I will not be able to suppress the gleefull emotions that every Lakers loss evokes within me.

Hahahaha! Perfect response, Celt, and my sentiments exactly. Besides, I do not hate the Spurs, as some Kings fans have mentioned here........Massenburg...yep! ;)

yer right, of course. i dont really see the point in these "who do we root for" threads. the answer is simple: don't root for either. we root for the kings because we are kings fans. we don't root for the spurs because they are the top contender in our conference, whom we will be competing with in all likelihood for the western conference finals, given we make it that far. the lakers, on the other hand, will be a first round dropout, if they even make the playoffs. we hope they win tonight in this case, because it benefits us in the long run. that doesnt mean we're "rooting" for them, and it doesn't make us bad kings fans, either. ;)
