in the final analysis... their assessment seems to be... the Kings are just just too bland and dull to talk about.

they suck, but not not completely... and the offseason was bad, but not a disaster... and the future looks bland, but not apocalyptic.

final analysis... yawn.

:(
Eh, I still see at least 1 major move coming, likely after the Love logjam breaks. Won't judge anything until training camp rosters are set.

"They have just $40.7 million committed next season, and they can likely move Carl Landry's remaining $18.5 million, and can likely figure out a buyout with Jason Terry's remaining $12.5 million guaranteed."

Gee I thought Jason Terry is a 5.4 mil Ender? don't know where he is getting 12.5 Mil? Maybe he is confusing Terry with Thompson?

Well something has to happen. Right now, if you count Casspi, they have 16 players on the roster. So far Casspi isn't listed on any of the sites I usually rely on. So either there has to be another deal, or some cutting has to be done. Like you, I think there's still another deal in the works. How big is anyone's guess.

Terry is on the last year of his contract worth 5.4 mil. Don't know where they got their info, but its wrong..

Trying to stay away from reading these offseason reviews on our team to the best of my ability, especially considering the ignorance these sports writers possess.

With our defensive upgrade at pg as well as our new freedom of ball movement in addition to Stauskas making
Simple plays and hitting open shots I'd say the table is set for us to be THE surprise of the upcoming season. Yes im being optimistic but there are a number of factors that should contribute to us winning another 10+ games. Especially if Cousins and Gay come back from FIBA with an extra ccompetitive edge.

Did he imply that Kevin Martin was a superstar?
I am arguably one of the biggest Kevin Martin fans on this board. He's made a good career in the NBA. To try and argue that he's any kind of superstar, however, is just beyond silly. Unless, of course, you're going by the "Over $100 million" rule...

Has he even earned that much over his career? I know he signed $55 million deal with us but can't remember any deals he signed with other teams after that!

basketball reference has him at $65mil up through last season. The problem of course was that he was a late first round pick, so he was getting paid peanuts those first 4 years.

still owed another $21mil for the next 3 seasons though, so that will bring him up to $87mil by the time he's 33. He's never been durable, but if the body is holding up at that point he could still hit a cool $100mil. Seems more likely than most NBAers to still have a big chunk of it by retirement too.

I didn't think he hit the cool $100mil just yet as his biggest contract was the one we gave him. You are right though, he seems to be the type of player that will have a big chuck of his career earning by the time he retires. I certainly don't expect him to be like.......

He did have the "short" sale of his home that he left behind long after he was traded. I'll leave for others to decipher that move.
