Some Respectful Suggestions to Theus

Dear Coach Theus,

I know you are trying to build the confidence of some of the bigs by feeding them in the post. Kenny Thomas, for example. Or Miki Moore. PLEASE DON'T. If I played Thomas in Horse I'd shoot layups everytime and win 9 times out of 10. (Maybe he wins one because I have bad knees.) What you have to realize is that Thomas's basketball IQ approaches zero, and you may spend the next three years persuading, cajoling, and "teaching" him, but he'll still have a basketball IQ approaching zero. Miki Moore did one thing on offense tonight that he can do - he hit one outside shot. He's Miller lite. He needs to be outside, not inside. He's 32 years old. He's not in developmental league. He is what he is.

And you might be trying to create that team camraderie thing or send a message about defense by starting Orion Greene. PLEASE DON'T. He'll never be able to shoot. If he could be teamed with four offensive threats, he might be a nice complementary player. MAYBE. But right now, with maybe two players who have some confidence in their offensive games, respectfully sir, it's just not a good idea.

Back to Thomas. I can't stand him. No, I mean I REALLY can't stand him. I'd almost pay to have him sit on the bench. Can you help me out here?

I think we should upload a video of KT missing that WIDE OPEN LAYUP OFF THE GLASS in the first quarter, and just loop it over and over.

And then send it to Reggie and the King's organiztion.

Man that was horrible.....

I am glad that other people noticed the whole posting up Kenny and Mikki thing. That is just inexcusable, Theus should know better by now.

funny thing is that I didnt even cuss him out this time

My reaction was kind of subtle in the form of: "Oh...hehe"

And Brad.

Reggie says he wants to play through the post, but he's got to realize his players just really can't. Its pointless to take non-post players and try to post them. They end up just loooking terrible.

i hit record as soon as i saw it. I wish i was recording on my computer so i could upload it to youtube though :p

How about I think Reggie just might go to GP and tell him just to buy out KT. He noticed that KT only looks good in practice against SAR and Mikki because he can rebound but in the real world every other PF in the league can out rebound all 3 of them put together. Geez I am sick of the this cluster **** we have at the PF position.

If Theus likes post offensive game, why the Kings FO didn't try to acquire Luis Scola from the Spurs this summer ? Could be a win-win trade, fact that we got a bag of cheetos for him from Houston, and now many analysts predict Rox championship based on that fateful trade, LOL. Scola is weak defensively, but atleast he can score in the paint if given the opportunity, and a decent rebounder. Most importantly, he plays with fire & pride -ala Manu, Nocioni, and Oberto.

Scola is a skilled player and champion in his own rights. He has no business playing for Kings right now

It might suck for him not playing for a contender, but the Kings are still an NBA team. For us, atleast we don't have to send him into our own division, intra state rival, and your 2nd #pick should be more enticing than the Rox one.

He won't put your team over the top, but should be able to spare you from the horror of post offense ineptitude shown by your team current Bigs. Should work very well too with Brad, their game complement each other.

What if we all emailed Sam Amick as Samick@sacbee.com and all said the same thing please print the fans want a buy out of KT. If about 400 emails come in he will probably mention it in his blog or in an article and I am sure the word will get out and Maybe KT will play better or leave on his own. Hell its worth a shot. I just wish GP the Maloofs or Theus glanced at this site from time to time.

on paper but not on the floor

doesn't Kenny have only a player option for next season? If we buy him out won't we save money?

Just think... at $100 bucks a piece, we only need 160,000+ people willing to kick in... :(

It's early, but settle on a rotation. Figure out who you want as your big minute players and stick with them; live and die with them. You're digging yourself into a hole that will be hard to get out of by not trusting guys. You want to build camaraderie, but having guys compete with each other for minutes won't do that. Players are more likely to sabotage each other and look for their own when minutes are distrubuted they way it has. Pick your A team, and get everyone else to support them. Pulling guys and sitting them for long stretches for minor mistakes and because there not gifted enough creates bad moral. And get Brad and Kenny's jumpers more involved, please.
