Dave McMenamin at NBA.com updated his rookie power rankings this week and now has Jason up at #7 from #9 in his last review.

Considering Jason was drafted #12 this is a real feather in his and GP's cap. It is great to see the little improvements in JT every game. He still has a way to go but he will be great. His double-doubles are mostly earned with starters and his down low work is improving.

Congratulations Jason!!! :D

When the guy can do better than a 20 and 10 against the Celtics, you know he's pretty good.

Jason has really made some improvements to his game. He's slowly starting to use his left hand, and he's not getting his shot blocked under the basket with the same regularity. He's getting good with that up and under move. SAR seems to be helping with the little things around the basket.

He's starting to kick the ball back out more too instead of forcing a shot on every touch inside .

Maybe there will be an opening on the rookie squad if there's an injury, illness, etc. to one of the already named players. If so, hopefully JT would get the nod over Love, Chalmers, etc. If not, then it's just all about "motivation" as Spencer Hawes said for rest of the season.
