Don't forget, our group gets to do the High Five Tunnel as the Kings come on the court before the game. Your only chance to "bang a 5 with a King" and get up close with the team.

This will be our third annual KingsFans.com game as it all started in Feb. 2010.

Here is a video of what we experienced as we supported our Sacramento Kings at the Los Angeles Clippers.

It is quite an experience and one you will never forget. That night changed my life as I got to experience what a downtown arena and its surroundings can do for a city and those who visit it to have fun.

Big thanks to CruzDude for organizing this annual event.

I'm so glad you got enough people, CruzDude. I really wish I could have made it this year, but too many other pressing things going on for me, including financial. I hope everyone has as much fun as I did last year! :)

We'll miss you too but will try to upload some photos from the ESPN Sports Bar and in the arena.

without sounding stupid what is the event???

We have a dedicated group of Kings fans who live in Southern California. CruzDude arranges a game night every year where Kings fans can get together and attend a Kings-Clippers game in LA. The loyal Kings fans even get to form a "tunnel" and high-5 our Kings on their way into the arena. Pretty good for a Kings away game in the Lakers/Clippers home court.

And we all meet at the ESPN Sports Bar before the game to meet and greet and catch up. Check out thread #6 above by "Mike0476" and his video from last year. Always a ball!

The Kings only visit each market for one or two games a year, so there aren't a lot of chances to see them if you live near a different team. In the case of southern California there are two teams (Lakers and Clippers), so there are usually four choices. I think getting Lakers tickets is harder and possibly more expensive since they've always been more popular, so that leaves the two games the Kings play in Los Angeles against the Clippers. This year because of the lockout I think there is only this one game. So... that's why they're picking this game to see the Kings.

More than any other location outside of northern California, the LA area probably has the most Kings fans. You'd see more of these types of things for other areas if there were high concentrations of fans elsewhere.

So much are we Kings fans real true fans that any opportunity to see the Kings live we jump on. Get out a map of Southern California and look up these cities where KingsFans live who are going to the Clippers game in April:
Riverside, Culver City, Palmdale (40 miles north of LA), Santa Ana (40 miles south), Ensenada, Mexico (200 miles south), Solana Beach (100 miles south) PLUS Mike0476 and his buddies driving down from Sacramento, over 400 miles (they ARE nuts but we really have a blast!!)

That's 400 miles one way or 800 miles round trip.

In the first annual event (Feb 2010) we drove.

The following season (Dec 2010) we flew.

This season (April 2012) I'm flying again.

I don't think this is too much to ask for, but I think everyone there should buy me a beer. Since there's going to be 25 people or so, that's 25 or so beers for me. Woooo!
