So! Do You Still Want to Play Phoenix?

Yep -- first half showed why I still would.

Fact is there is nobody we are going to face who we will be favored to beat. But we showed in the first half why we MIGHT be able to knock off the Suns. Of course they showed in the second half why maybe even that won't be enough.
 
AND they had an extremely good one. You shoot lights out like that and you're gonna win...and they did.
 
I want to play a team we won't choke against.

Experience shows that the only team that might be left on the list is the Clippers, unfortunately...
 
No, I don't want to play anyone. I've wanted to make the playoffs but it's obvious this team's not going anywhere. Maybe we can get lucky and get a good lottery pick?
 
yes! that san antonio game was a fluke. they will sweep us. we can beat phoenix in a seven game series. the problem is that we aren't going to get the 7th seed. tonight's game was bigger than some of you think. lakers have nothing but home games.
 
It's not just playing Phoenix. If we beat them in the playoffs we will have an easier 2nd round opponent than we would if we were 8th seed.
 
Who you want to play is irrelavant. The Kings are now going to the 8th spot and with LA's easy schedule, expect them to stay there.
 
sure. the Suns won't shoot like that through a playoff series. There might be a whole two games when they do that.
 
No team can beat another team that never misses a shot. Phoenix must have shot 70% in the second half. Can they do that routinely? I doubt it.

Plus, we missed a ton of free throws and made incredibly dumb turnovers. Also, Ron Artest apparently thinks that he is Jeff Hornacek or Peja Stojakovic when we get behind. There are some things to improve upon.
 
Yeppers.

Both halves of this game were an example of one team playing above their norm and the other playing below. Even things out, and the Kings still have a fighting chance.

LA still has to play the Suns, too, tho. And the Suns are a very good road team.

I vote for the Suns too. Maybe we'll get lucky.
 
We should know better than most people that relying on shooting isn't going to carry you through the playoffs. We've shown we match up very well against Phoenix. There are positives in this loss.

They gave up 70 points in the 1st half. Phoenix has shown they allow it on a consistent basis. Tonight it just didn't matter because they did not miss in the 2nd half.
 
I still like the fact that we can destroy them in the post with Shareef. He did awesome in the first half and only shot like ONCE thereafter. He is the key for us to beat them. They have no one that can stop him down low. We saw that we can get to the line on them, and the Kings need to stay aggresive on them the WHOLE GAME! We can beat them.
 
Yes but I want a lineup of Bibby, Bonzi, Artest, Reef, and Miller.
put KT in IR, play Martin and Garcia very limited minutes.

And do you know why he only shot once in the 2nd half? Its because Rick decided a lineup of Garcia and Martin is much better so he played him for only 11 minutes in the 2nd half.

The Lakers will lose to Phoenix on Sunday and the Kings will win their next 3 games. Kings will regain the 7th. Book it.
 
Uh yeah, we pretty much controlled the game for a half and then came out totally flat in the second half. You have a 17 point elad at half, then give it up and let them score 72 points while Nash spends most of the game on the bench? You just beat yourself.
 
I dont think the suns will tank it... i dont think thats thier style. But i was at the game tonight and all i saw was a scorching second half by phx. we killed them in the first half and then Rick didnt want to go with success i suppose so he stoped the game plan. This is why I have never been big on Rick, because he makes poor big game coaching choices... but this wasnt ricks fault. We didnt play defense, make freethrows, or take care of the ball.\

D i want them in a playoff series? hell yes i do. they dont want us, thats for sure. So loosing on sunday could be a posibility. They dont want us. But they wont tank on purpose.
 
Why did Adelman think he can run with the Suns. Even when he realized that we can't, he insisted on sitting Shareef. WTF, i am so ****ing pissed and its only 6:37 in the morning
