I am surprised no one mentioned this and I wonder how bad his feet are. Can we ever stay healthy? THis is dissappionting I hoped that we would not have to deal that many injuries this coming season

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento Kings center Brian Skinner underwent a shockwave procedure Friday to alleviate pain from plantar fasciitis in his feet.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Randall Sarte at HealthSouth Surgery Center in Sacramento.

Skinner, a seven-year NBA veteran who will begin his second season with the Kings, is expected to be ready by training camp. He joined the Kings in the February trade that sent Chris Webber to Philadelphia.

In 49 games with the Kings, he averaged 4.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 19.2 minutes.

Great. And I Like Skinner too.

Thing is, he's rough and tough inside, but he's evry much a King when it comes to injuries. Never plays a full season. Has only played more than 70 games once in his career. Only broken 60 games twice. Makes Webb look like an iron man. While I don't think he would be a starter for a high quality team anyway, its an additional reason that he is really better as a bencher that you don't have to rely upon.

Oh, that is just great. I knew he was not very resilient, but that looks just awful. :(

This is the same injury that Doug had experienced during last years off season. It took him all summer long to recuperate and even once the season started it was still a lingering problem.

Skinner was actually came to, and hung out at *The Library* a new bar/restaurant last Tuesday.

LOL what a name for a bar. Sorry for the OT, it just made me chuckle.

But this injury is so variable and responds differently in different people it is hard to try and draw any conclusions from DC's case.

It's actually a cool theme. Some random books scattered. Some bookshelves with books painted on the walls. All staff shirts say *Faculty*. And the waitresses are rock'in a school girl vibe.

PLus, DC's case was compounded by the bone spurs in the ankle. That's a whole separate pain to deal with.

Yeah Dougs overall health was in bad shape for a long time, and was much more serious from what I have heard.
