I predict Zach Randolph will play more than Skal this season.
It’s sad the we all expect this

That would either mean that Skal is developing his game and confidence in the g league, or he is injured.I predict Zach Randolph will play more than Skal this season.
Dave Joerger is the coach, I have no evidence to believe Randolph won't be at the very least a major part of the rotation as long as he is on the roster.I cannot see Zbo getting any meaningful minutes. Especially since we added 3 more players to compete for those minutes: Bagley, Giles, Bjelica. Skal should beat him out for any minutes. if he does not, well, that tells us something.
This will always be my favorite Zach Randolph play. Precisely what you described. If we do not play ZBO 30 minutes a game how the heck are our kids going to learn how to dribble the shot clock down to 2 or 3 seconds and take that low % contested shot?

well, if they make 50% of them like ZBO (2pt pctg) ...If we do not play ZBO 30 minutes a game how the heck are our kids going to learn how to dribble the shot clock down to 2 or 3 seconds and take that low % contested shot?

Link to the source?Well, prior to Temple opting into this years contract, the Kings told him he wouldn't be playing if he did. If they felt that way about Temple, I have to assume that they feel the same way about Randolph, who is years older than Temple, and is playing a position with an even bigger surplus of players. I'm not sure why we feel that Joerger is locked into an offensive scheme of pound the ball and isolation. Yes, he ran that type of offense at Memphis, but what kind of offense was he supposed to run with the players he had there? How the hell do you play up tempo basketball with Randolph and Gasol on the floor?
Temple said it in an interview.Link to the source?
I'm really hoping whoever is in charge of Joerger tells him, "you play Z-bo too much you're gone". Simple!

Here is an article about Skal getting bigger and buffer this off season. His physique looks almost Anthony Davis like in the pic and video.

With Skal, I think he has the skills to develop, but his body just wasn't NBA ready. Now that he looks to have added much needed weight and muscle, maybe we start seeing NBA Skal this year. We can only hope.![]()
He shouldn’t play period
Mpg in the front court should go
Bagley: 28mpg
Giles: 28mpg
Skal: 20mpg (see if there’s anything there)
WCS: 20mpg
Literally no place for ZBo

Skal could use a little bit of a nasty attitude. Hopefully the added muscle equates to some banging around the hoop. Boxing out and rebounds were a weakness of the Kings last season.
Bjelica could and should play. Skal will have to earn minutes over him. We have to be able to stretch the floor and play some team defense. Skal and Beli stylistically are pretty similar. He is a good mentor for Skal.
Bagley is WCS with a motor and maybe a better shot. Both can play some perimeter defense but aren’t strong with perimeter offense.
Giles, let’s hope is the man.

Looks like someone read bajaden's post in this thread and made their own article on it.
I think the Bjelica will play a lot of small forward, since we only have Justin Jackson there. Bjelica also played pretty well at SF when Jimmy Butler was injured last year in Minnesota.
Skal will still have to earn his minutes, but I think we may see a bigger jump than expected, since Skal now has the size to play PF in the NBA.
