Center DeMarcus Cousins has been raw and immature in three tumultuous seasons with the Kings. He's also worthy of a max extension.

Excellent read, and interestingly enough it echoes a lot of the views expressed here at KF. :)

...Still, this is the player tabbed as being the face of the Kings, and for good reason. Cousins, who turns 23 in August, may be petulant at times, but few players have the skill to do what he does, and even fewer are capable of matching his production. There’s room here for Sacramento to be concerned without overreacting, and to address the problem without disregard for such a prodigious talent...

Good article. Cousins has so much potential- it's ridiculous. He just needs a good mentor to help him mature. His skills will improve. There's no problem there. If he can put that bad attitude and immaturity behind him he will be so successful and it will rub off on his teammates. Go Kings!

Good article! The word stability stood out for me. Stability, consistency, discipline, etc. None of those existed for the last 5 or 6 years. I'm hopeful that the new regime will bring those things to the team, and to Cousins. There's no doubt that Cousins has some bad habits on defense, and anyone that's played sports, knows it takes a while to break old habits. Bad habits are just like good habits. They become instinctive and reactive. Usually you get worse before getting better. Just ask anyone that's tried to make changes in their golf swing. Cousins is smart, and if he buys in, we should see improvement.
