Should MT be our leading scorer?

He's considered our 3rd best player. However if we can win with him as our leading scorer I can't complain. I would've thought for us to be a winning team Evans or Cousins would have to be that player.

Thornton is just flat out prolific as a scorer, and its one of those things where your leading scorer may not be your best/most important player, but rather the guy designated as instant offense. Still you give Reke and Cousisn a few years under a new coach and I'm not sure Thornton retains that title. Not the end of the world though if he does just as long as that trio is combining for 60+ every night ala the Spurs' trio in its prime, the Boston trio before they got totally decrepit etc.

Thornton will score, but on most nights Cousins will have the advantage over his man. Eventually, you'd like Cousins being the starting point and Thornton getting points off of him. Right now it's in reverse, with Evans and Thornton taking shots and Cousins getting his points cleaning up their misses.

I would like to see avg of 19 11 and 4 from cousins 21 5 and 6 from reke and 23 3 and 4 from Thornton at the end of the year. Maybe not on year averages but last half avg and then hopefully they build from there. I don't think those numbers are unreasonable in a real offensive system. Points rebounds assists.

Playing in the right system will make the game much easier and once these guys play enough together to jell we have something.

Scoretons three point shot will seperate him from the other scorers on our team. He will be our leading scorer for many years.

no worries with that either as long as boogie is the focal point and we hit him up in the paint as much as we can
