Don't Make Me Use The Bat

it seemed to me like it was out of pure frustration on both parts. the Kings just weren't doing as well as they had in the past, and neither one of them liked it

but, if Bibby were to go to Houston you can be sure that he and Adelman will be getting along, because that's a scary team. Yao, McGrady, and Bibby?! plus, Battier who is an excellent glue guy. and Bonzi's there too, and i seem to recall him playing quite well under Adelman
Well after Francis I cannot see Bibby to Houston at all. They already had Alston, now they brought in BOTH Mike James and Steve Francis to replace him, and drafted a pretty good looking little rook (Brooks) to boot. That's not to mention Head's ability to play a little PG.

(as an aside, note about poor little Geoff, and how impossible it is for him to get anything done because he tied his own hands with ****ty overpaid talent acquisition etc. etc. -- in one offseason, the Rockets have essentially managed to add three veteran double figure scorers (Bonzi, James, and Francis) and mayeb a 4th (Scola) at the grand cost of Juwan Howard and Victor Spanoulis, and by picking up a certain coach. It was generally acknowledged before the offseason began that they had NO assets to improve the team with beyong maybe Sura's ender (which they haven't even had to use yet), and now look at the situation -- maybe as talented as any team in the league).

Here's something interesting though -- for some completely unknown reason, it seems the Heat might actually have an interest in Rafer Alston. Why Riles would possibly want him back is beyond me, but Pat's been tryign ot bargain basement a patch at PG fdor months now rather than making a major move, so guess that's the idea. I'm actually unclear what the holdup is with that deal getting done for Doleac UNLESS Houston, rather than just trying to shed Rafer's contract, is actually trying to hold out for Haslem to complete their offseason (and roster) with a solid roleplaying PF behind to Scola. And yes here, despite Geoff's apparent inexplicable non-interest in Jason Williams and his ending contract I am still thinking we might be able to get in on that action if the Heat do not want to part with their starting PF. As in Alston to Miami, enders to us, and one of our PFs to Houston instead of Haslem.

Wait and the Rockets get stuck with SAR and his contract? Oh God help us if that happens. We somehow manage to get rid of Juwan Howard and get a serviceable point guard and now we're trading for another soft, non-rebounding PF?

Thankfully this is from hoopsworld so we know it isn't true.
I thought they shipped Juwan Howard to the Tpups for Mike James.

this trade would make no sense... unless we could trade artest as well... but why would we need posey? i could understand if he were an expiring contact but not as a free agent... reef to houston is fine but to take posey back in the deal... eww....
Well, technically it could be an expiring, since only one year has to be guaranteed in a S&T. Doubt Posey would agree to it though.
