Shaq vs. Bynum

Bynum is actually from my hometown of Edison, NJ (he is from the same high school that Jason williams (motorcyle one) was from)...I've seen the kid play first hand, and I have to say that he didn't seem all that special to me. A lot of people around town say that he isn't even the best kid on the St. Joseph's team (they monopolize high school basketball in NJ). I don't honestly see much future prospect for him as he isn't phenomenely talented or exceptionally big for an NBA center.

He's one of the largest centers in the league; 7'1" (and change), 270 lbs, with a 7'7" wingspan.

Wingspan. If absolutely nothing else, he'll be a nice shotblocker when minutes start piling up. He needs to work on his legs more than anything. Work on his explosion, needs a stronger base. Right now he's awkward on O because of that, imo.

I really like this kid. That was one of the greatest moments in basketball history. First Shaq destroys him on one end and you can just feel the pity party about to begin with the announcers and then, BANG!

Then he gets a little overzealous and jumps into Shaq! That was awesome!!! I luv it.

I was giggling like a little school girl when this happened. One of my favorite moments of this year............and I hate the Lakers.

so no mention of shaq making peace with kobe? to me, shaq is a zillion times better a person than kobe ever will be.

That's because Shaq can't hurt you anymore. He's a gimp now.

Plus, it wasn't sincere. Shaq was told to do it.

that was a really stupid excuse on shaq's part. do you really believe that shaq, because "mr. russell" has told him to bury the hatchet, made peace? and whether it is sincere or not is not important. kobe wanted him gone and finally, shaq let it go.

even when he was with the lakers, i liked shaq more than kobe. on the court, i hated him, no question about it. but off court, i found him rather amusing.

Do I really believe that? After 8 years of watching him hold a petty grudge against David Robinson for some conjured up excuse, I do. Not to mention 8 years of prodding Kobe (starting when he was 18) and years of disliking Penny. Also all the dumb statements about Bibby, etc.

lmao. I love it when fans talk about people they've never met as if they know them.

Despite what Shaq said, I find their "making up" very hard to believe. He just went from hating him to being friends in 3 weeks? I know personally my feelings don't change that dramatically after such resentment. The pix they had on TNT though were funny.

Thanks for posting the video clip - I'd heard about it but hadn't seen it yet.

i am old enough to know what a person is like just by his/her conduct and self-expression. that is no rocket science; just being willing to observe others instead of mystifying.
