Why don't they just wait until Flip Saunders gets fired?

Assuming the Pistons do go down and Flip does get fired (which I think may be a leap, are they gonna take Brown back??? lol) I think that would be an absolute downgrade. Flip has worse playoff credentials than Adelman and he has apparently lost 2 teams in 2 years.

Well, Rick IS available, you know, and Detroit may be "special" enough to entice him back this year. Elston would have a field day with them defensively, I think....

It is Wednesday and still no word from the Maloofs. I think this makes my case for the ultimate rejection of Whiz look stronger day by day.

When I started this thread on May 25, I was told - and apparently so was Voisin, Amick, etc. - that it was a done deal.

It appears something may have changed. I can only hope that maybe just maybe the fact Musselman pretty much blew everyone away in the interview AND the public outcry over Whis MAY have caused the Maloofs to rethink their initial tendency.

I said before I would gladly eat major portions of sautéed crow if it turned out my initial tip was wrong. If we end up with Musselman, it will be worth it!

My understanding is that Crow is best seerved lightly broiled with a red peepr corn cream sauce, although I might be tempted to goahead and mesquite grill it and serve it with a sorroro salsa.

Or maybe Whis realized this would be a bad move and took himself out of the running at the Sunday "interview"? I mean he'd be hated by Monarchs fans for abandoning the team while defending a championship and Kings fans don't seem too receptive either, but usually when you spurn one team to go to another that team isn't in the SAME CITY. Musselman is young and will probably come semi-cheap so if it doesn't work they can always try the Whis experiment a year or two from now.

I can confirm it. I saw the report and it's accurate. Crandell also said Petrie will be leaving town Wednesday for the pre-draft camp that will be held in Orlando and that would delay any announcement.

Looks like my ears deceived me. Today, I heard Grant say Petrie was leaving this weekend for it. Anyone else hear that or am I wrong?

While on another subject I heard yesterday Vlade say he was moving to Spain and would move back to either Sacramento or Los Angeles in about two years. His basketball camp with Peja is for one week instead of two.

Bobby Jackson will be on KHTK during the 6 p.m. hour.

Anyone that wants to give VF **** about this is not only wrong, but pretty damn stupid as well...

1.She tried to give us all the info, even though she very well could have eaten crow on this one.

2.She was relaying a RELIABLE source, it's not like it was some joke where she just had a hunch.

3.At the time it was right, the newspapers had heard it as well, there was something obviously to VF's statement that W would be the next coach.

4.She said it for all of our benefit, she already had the info, what could she possibly get out of relaying it to us besides the chance of being wrong? Nothing, she did it so we could know what was going on.

5.Her saying it could have VERY WELL helped in this whole thing, call me crazy but alot of Kings fans visit this site, which helped with a LOT of the public outcry.

6.VF has been right on things, and I would love for her to continue to give inside information, and giving her **** about something isn't going to help that any.

7.Appreciate what VF does for this site, and the info she brings. She is probably happy to eat crow on this one, as was I for relaying the message on another site, but DON'T give her crap about it.
