Wondering if there is still a path for DeRozan to MIA. Could be a DeRozan to MIA, Monk to DET, and Wiggins/Schroder to SAC type deal.
That would leave us with a tentative depth chart of…
PG - Schroder / Carter
SG - LaVine / Ellis / Davis
SF - Wiggins / Clifford
PF - Murray / Raynaud
C - Sabonis / Valanciunas / Jones
That at least seems less clunky at the guard spots, but if we bring in Westbrook, then it’s immediately clunked back up again which makes me wonder if we’re dangling Carter or Ellis as extra incentive in this trade as well (unfortunately).
Or perhaps MIA wants both Monk & DeRozan? And DET gets Rozier & Jaquez and we get Wiggins & Schroder? Assuming Schroder is getting the MLE, it could be something like...
--------------------------------
DET Gets: Terry Rozier & Jaime Jaquez
DET Gives: Dennis Schroder, Simone Fontecchio, & Bobi Klintman
Why for DET? They get a cheap, young, bench wing to help replace the loss of Schroder, but also get some deep PG depth in Rozier as well.
PG - Ivey / Sasser / Rozier
SG - Thompson / LeVert
SF - Cunningham / Holland / Jaquez
PF - Harris
C - Duren / Stewart / Reed
--------------------------------
MIA Gets: Demar DeRozan, Malik Monk, & Simone Fontecchio
MIA Gives: Andrew Wiggins & Terry Rozier
Why for MIA? The Heat get some needed scorering and playmaking help, but still have the Ware/Adebayo combo to help uplift the defense.
PG - Mitchell / Kasparas
SG - Herro / Monk / Larsson
SF - DeRozan / Highsmith / Fontecchio
PF - Ware / Jovic / Anderson
C - Adebayo / Love
--------------------------------
SAC Gets: Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, & Bobi Klintman
SAC Gives: DeMar DeRozan & Malik Monk
Why for SAC? The Kings get a PG to help run the offense with Sabonis while also getting a long, athletic forward who can defend, shoot, and score a bit.
PG - Schroder / Carter
SG - LaVine / Ellis / Davis
SF - Wiggins / Clifford
PF - Murray / Raynaud / Klintman
C - Sabonis / Valanciunas / Jones
