It's like we can't find a middle ground between "all our players are garbage and we're going to have to pay their entire salaries to make them go away" and "not trading that dude for SGA, what are you trying to rip us off?"that would indeed be crazy
Social media is a bad thing in many ways. One good thing is the rate of speed that important news can get pushed globally. The flip side is how fast speculation and rumors very quickly morph into something that's more than intended. I'm so happy to no longer be on any of the more formal social media platforms (Twitter/Facebook/etc..); however this site sometimes similarily spins out of control -- just at a smaller scale.Agreed! This is how I feel. The way people were reacting on twitter, I thought it was a done deal lol I searched and searched but nothing came up. Good lord
Kings fans acting like Scott Perry is out here turning down Mikal Bridges trade packages for Lavine and Deebo just don’t understand the game or the game within the game. It's like we can't find a middle ground between "all our players are garbage and we're going to have to pay their entire salaries to make them go away" and "not trading that dude for SGA, what are you trying to rip us off?"
I absolutely agree with this. I absolutely love malik. Many times over the past three years I thought he was one of my all time favorite kings... warts and all in his game. Just an electric offensive player at times, who played with passion and a real love for Sac. I could overlook the severe defensive deficiencies, out of control play, chucking and lack of size. I love him, but absolutely OK with him being moved. That era of Kings basketball is over and I'm ready to move on (be it a rebuild or reset).
Or perhaps MIA wants both Monk & DeRozan? And DET gets Rozier & Jaquez and we get Wiggins & Schroder? Assuming Schroder is getting the MLE, it could be something like...Wondering if there is still a path for DeRozan to MIA. Could be a DeRozan to MIA, Monk to DET, and Wiggins/Schroder to SAC type deal.
That would leave us with a tentative depth chart of…
PG - Schroder / Carter
SG - LaVine / Ellis / Davis
SF - Wiggins / Clifford
PF - Murray / Raynaud
C - Sabonis / Valanciunas / Jones
That at least seems less clunky at the guard spots, but if we bring in Westbrook, then it’s immediately clunked back up again which makes me wonder if we’re dangling Carter or Ellis as extra incentive in this trade as well (unfortunately).
Kings assembling the "I don't get no respect!" crew for the ages. We should have Rodney Dangerfield as our mascot.
Maybe Detroit wants incentive to take monk. Or maybe Perry is trying to find a way to get horford to gs and kuminga to sac while staying under the taxIf Perry were happy with just Monk for Schroder, this deal would’ve been done 16 hours ago.
PleaseNot for nothing but Russ could be a Buck now
That will be the dumbest move ever if the Kings trade Monk for Schroeder. He's not worth Monk. I wouldn't even think Schroeder is that good. You got to be so damm stupid to get rid of a talent like Monk. It's like the Fox scenario where you get the short end of the stick. If they had to get rid of Monk for Schroeder, I think the NEW GM should just leave...just like Monte left after the Fox disaster trade.
I still don't understand that at all.
Yup. “Monk has emerged as an option for the pistons” just never sounded like verbiage that should make anyone panic IMO lol he may very well be moved and very soon, but for Dennis Schröder? Come on. I just didn’t see itSocial media is a bad thing in many ways. One good thing is the rate of speed that important news can get pushed globally.
